But who is going to win the most viewers?

AFAIK Any Dream Will Do has beaten ITV every week so far and I doubt that it will change this week. Besides BBC One's Saturday night line-up has been really good these past few weeks with Doctor Who, Lottery, Any Dream Will Do and then Casualty, which I think will help as some viewers may tune in and stay put all evening, thus increasing the ratings.

What a bizarre thread. I think it's quite obvious which show is going to win seeing as Joseph has been trouncing Grease every week since they've both been on the air. Highly unlikely that Grease will experience a dramatic ratings boost for the final.

It's a no brainer! Any Dream will Do has at least judges that has worked in the theatre industry, Grease has some Z list celebs and 1 who is in the theatre industry.

Surprised though none of them have ducked out of the battle - I thought Grease might have been shunted to 6.30pm by now, giving Joseph a free run after 8pm.

I suppose though Doctor Who is probably a tougher opponent.

Grease has been flawed from the start though - though it is now better now it's about individuals, not couples.

Any Dream will Do will win but I have never watched that programme. Its Grease all the way for me!

I wonder if Grease's poor ratings will make ITV reluctant to do simular shows in future where people can win roles in the West End?

I doubt they will unless they realise that they messed it up and seriously rethink the format. No disrespect to those who like the Grease show, but I watched ADWD last week and it's clearly a better produced show.

Can't say ITV aren't trying. They are starting their final 10 minutes earlier than the BBC hoping people won't bother with the lottery show. And they are showing Grease before it.

David Ian- Grease executive producer
David Gest- Showbiz and musical theatre producer
Sinitta- West End actress
Brian Friedman- Choreographer

Its the other way around. 3 are involved in the industry.

Personally I prefer Grease, but I know for a fact Joseph will win, probably with over twice the audience of Grease.

Technically those descriptions may be correct - but Sinitta and David Gest are best known as an 80s popstar and X Factor Mentor, and a celebrity and ex-husband of Liza Minelli.

David Ian has the most credibility of the Grease experts.

The Joseph line-up has a much stronger pedigree. Denise van Outen and John Barrowman both have West End leading roles to their names, and both have performed on Broadway. Bell Kenwright is a West End and touring producer, and Zoe Tyler has a strong reputation as a vocal coach.

If Grease were an original production it would beOK (though it is very X Factor derivative in look) - but it poorly copied Maria (losing the feel good factor to a large degree), and suffers in comparison to Joseph in production values and execution IMHO. Cowell seems to agree...

Joseph is a much warmer show, with higher production values...

I find that Andrew Lloyd Webber always looks a bit uncomfortable when he is on TV

Every interview he appears in he always says 'I'm not a TV star, I write musicals' as if he is embarrased about the whole thing

I think that is part of the point of the show. The camp way they slightly send up Andrew with the Phantom theme, is quite knowing but still quite witty. Plus the fact that the judging is often constructively critical, but still positive and often actually explaining what they are trying to do and where they are going wrong is a major advantage, and why Andrew stresses it is a show about musical theatre as well as a talent contest.

He does sometimes look uncomfortable, but that is part of his charm.
