ITV are pitting Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets up against Dr. Who next week. Could work better then celebrity wrestling.

they were supposed to be movie premieres and they have the hulk to show yet, its obvious they are showing this because it was a ratings hit when it premiered

There's no doubt whatsoever which will win.

It's rather a stupid "contest".

Harry Potter fans will have read the book, seen the film in the cinema, rented it from Blockbuster to watch at home (twice), watched the version on Sky Box Office, watched the version on Sky Movies (three times at least), and watched the previous showing on ITV.

Doctor Who fans need to watch on Saturday to see it for the first time and find out what happens.

Doctor Who will win. ITV might as well buy an archive Doctor Who from the BBC and show it at the same time as the new series. Idea

Doctor Who will win no contest. Channel 4 also it would appear agree. They have moved the primetime Deal Or No Deal to 5:55pm.

I think ITV are wise not to even try to win this slot. Whatever they come up with will never beat Doctor Who so they might as well just stick a film on.

I was under the impression more than one channel was allowed to broadcast at any one time, and this is exactly what ITV are doing. There is no ratings war, no Who v Potter contest. There's been family films on ITV1 on a Saturday for the past 3 weeks, the next few weeks is no different

I'm gonna have fun for the next few weeks at least.

Who @ 7.15 BBC 1 Saturday vs UFO @ 7.00 on ITV 4 Saturday & I want to tape both.

Sundays, if the Who BBC 3 repeat is at 7pm, then it clashes with TOTP on 2 & again taping is involved.

Wouldn't mind if ITV 4 moved UFO to either 6pm or maybe 9pm, or is there a later showing ?

Luckily my sister has got WHO on SKY plus & series link, but when I taped a James Blunt video from C4 on Plus recently, it kept asking for the PIN code start & mid video !

(We are currently SKY Multiroom at home!)

Only thing I can think of is that the James Blunt video was slightly dodgy.
(If you've seen 'Wisemen', you know about the fire!)
