Just noticed on Sky channel 823 Jeem.TV are showing a Matt Smith episode of Doctor Who dubbed into what I assume is Arabic. Not seen anything like this before on the Sky platform.

EDIT: A bit of research shows this is the children's TV channel from Al Jazeera, and there are other BBC shows on the channel. Never the less thought others might be interested.

They also show a Steve Backshall programme from CBBC and it uses this logo on the opening titles...

I assume you mean Deadly 60 or one of it's spin-offs.

BBC Earth is the natural history brand of BBC Worldwide - the UK equivalent is BBC Natural History Unit.

Yep, you'll see the BBC Earth brand on all sorts of things. Over here, it's mostly on tie-in books and the like, but when I was in Japan recently I saw it on an advert for this museum in Yokohama: http://orbiearth.com/en/

Will this mean that space programmes and their tie-ins will be branded BBC Mars? Just a thought...

That would make as much sense as calling BBC Earth, BBC France.

The point is that the joke didn't make sense.
