and I thought this topic was going to be about the old Granada regional "Green and Countryside" programme with Bob Smithies, also called "Down To Earth"!!!!!!
I saw the first series, but because of Dream Team on Sky1 and parents watching Heartbeat on Granada, I never actually saw the other series'
I fear that this may have gone the same way a Monarch of the Glen and has been rested for good!

There has been a lot of Scottish-based dramas on a Sunday night in the past...
Monarch of the Glen
The Tales of Para Handy (I think).
Hamish MacBeth

I don't think it ought to come back.
It was one of those series which was initially good, but was ruined when they moved away from the original Faith Addis book stories.
UKTV Drama have just re-run series one and just started series two, on Sundays at 19:55. They were the best two series.
That last one on BBC One, with Ricky Tomlinson and the crowd was so far from the original idea that it ought to have had a completely different title.
No, let the old dog lie down and nod off, I think.
