Have there been occasions where there's a "Christmas on ITV" style sponsor and a programme specific sponsor?
JL
I think so. I remember Rennie used to sponsor "Christmas on ITV" for many years, and Millionaire still had their usual sponsor as well, but it was one either side of the break.

Indeed, I don't believe UEFA actually know how many Champions League sponsors there actually are, globally, across the UEFA area and I believe in some markets individually. (Slight exaggeration I know.....)
Ford, Heineken, to name but a few
Ford haven't been a CL sponsor for years.
The only examples I can think of has been sports coverage.

Since the new betting advertising rules came in, both Sky and BT have had two sponsors for the Premier League. Bet365 when allowed and Renault/Just Eat the rest of the time.

Nissan replaced them in 2014.
McDonald's, Continental tyres and even Nutella were CL sponsors in the late '90s. Truly, another age. (That said, MasterCard and PlayStation are still there all these years later, and Heineken were involved back then too, if not directly.)

Slightly off topic but turns out 8 episodes of this have aired on S4C as Ty am Ddim. Thought it had quite a few Welsh episodes.
It surprises me The Great House Giveaway is tucked away in the 4pm afternoon slot rather than a 8pm slot, although I doubt it'll be getting a second series anytime soon due to Covid!

Eurosport's main HQ and playout operation is based in Paris - so that makes sense. They have two large new production centres in London and Hilversum, that provide facilities for a lot of Northern Europe (via remote production technology) - but that would explain the French licensing. Eurosport UK often have to opt-in and opt-out of Paris feeds AIUI.

Eurosport was always one of those channels in the UK that wasn't OFCOM licenced - it had a French licence as I recall - so their rules wouldn't be exactly the same. Not sure if this will still be the case going forward.
