Likewise - it was the equivalent of a roller-coaster ride, especially when he kept looking up, then down and around. I kept thinking "just look straight ahead!" Definitely squeaky bum time!

I've seen it a few times and still it feel makes me feel sightly queasy!

There was an episode of National Geographic's series 'World's Biggest Fixes' which featured a team replacing the aerial cylinder on a 2000 foot tall mast. Well worth a watch next time it gets a repeat, although there's a cutdown here:

Not only do they have to hoist/climb to the top but they need to lift off and replace the top... without a helicopter!
