Talking HD, I notice how the US networks DOG their HD channels with "HD" as well - so I bet that'll be the route the terrestrials here take into adding DOGs to their channel - sticking it on the HD version then sneaking it onto the SD version too.

is Sky One and the likes dogged "Sky One HD" etc.?

Also, watching "TV is Dead" today going on about branding, they never talked about DOGs at all but did talk about how with so much choice people now remember the programme, not the channel - so I guess that's the excuse the likes of Five will be using!

Yes, although to my knowledge it only changes to that when HD programming is shown.

Sky Sports HD is also DOG-ged aswell, but I'm sure I've seen it more than once with just 'Sky Sports' as the DOG onscreen, whether this has changed when they launched SS HD2 I don't know.

Dave's DOG is smaller than Five's, more in the corner, and IMHO generally more unobtrusive.

Sky Sports DOGs all HD matches/events as Sky Sports HD, however a lot of the normal programming I've seen is DOGed just as Sky Sports. Sky One is DOGed Sky One HD during HD programming only.

Strange on five now that the football is running without a DOG - and they've removed the five logo from the scorebar too.
