Golden Retrievers are my ish.

I hate DOGs, they're useless

Typical, a cat person!

Some of us here like Computer Aided Titles and find them very useful.

There's always a chance of BUGs though, Pen and paper FTW.

I have made some glasses with stick on DOGs, so when I go to out, I am happy in the presence of my DOG.

The other day I went to the dentist. My DOG was with me.

I guess this is as good a thread as any to point out that DOG is an actual word used by the BBC, contrary to the belief of some

Avoid having captions, graphics or written words in the top left or right of screen as these may clash with the Digitally Originated Graphic (DOG) or with the ‘Press Red’ flag or service option tags for interactive services.

Same at UKTV. It's a toss-up between BUG and DOG

I think we have covered anything. Expect is there an actual dog being used as a dog Wink

Maybe if HMV ever launch a channel... Smile Or does HMV not use that "dog next to a gramophone" logo anymore?

Back in the early days of the BBC's digital channels, the icon on the playout automation to indicate the command to turn the logo on and off was a dog. The device that broadcasters used to use to put the logo on the video was called a Bug Burner

DOG is and always has been an acronym that makes no sense. It's not as if it distinguishes from all those analogue originated graphics you see on telly Rolling Eyes

Well yes I imagine it's just been made-up and the word dog used because it's easy to remember. My point was that it was made-up by the BBC or another broadcaster, not by us geeks! Smile
