Surely that's the perfect DOG? Something that's there, you know its there but doesn't get in the way. In fact Country Music Television, before it disappeared about ten years ago now, took the same approach and stuck their (admittedly huge) totally black DOG bottom right and it worked well.

I don't mind DOGs at all. I think all channels should have them as they look good and allows you to actaully see what channel you are on. Especially when tuning terrestrial channels.
