Was quite suprised when I found out Potsworth and co was actually a UK co-production

The Sleepy Kid Production Company later became Entertainment Rights. Potsworth & Co was known as Midnight Patrol in the US but the BBC objected to the idea of kids being awake at midnight, so it was renamed for an international audience.

Wow you all have such great memories for all this kind of stuff! I've watched a few episodes of that Through The Dragons Eye on YouTube (more than a 30yo should admit to) and I don't think that's it.

Maybe it was something I half dreamed when I was a kid... It's annoying to not be able to remember more details to help me figure it out.

I also remember something about a main character who was a kid and they travelled to the other place where the story happens by going underneath their bed. Like there was a portal under there? Maybe that's me remembering something else completely though...

It's not an episode of Round The Twist is it? It sounds weird enough to be.

During the initial lockdown I binge watched all four seasons of Round The Twist on Prime and I can't recall a plot like that. There was an episode called "Monster Under The Bed" in the show's fourth season but that was basically the mother of all dust bunnies.

There are probably no end of productions that use "portal under the bed" as a plot device though. 1989's Little Monsters film (it had Fred Savage and future Home Alone star Daniel Stern in it) used a similar plot device.

So that's where the idea for Fred's Bed came from! The strip appeared in the Beezer and Topper comic in 1991-93, and then Beano in the late 2000s.

Hello

I have been trying to remember and find out about a TV show I watched a long time ago for many years, and wondered if anyone here might know/remember it or be able to suggest other specialist forums that might know something.

This is, I think, a children's TV show that I saw in the 90s but could be a rerun of something from the 80s or 70s.

The thing I remember clearest is the baddie in the show was trying to kidnap other characters and put them into a large machine that drained their essence(?) and turned them into small toy versions of themselves. Their essence was something that the baddie gathered together as some sort of gloopy fluid that they were going to drink to make themselves stronger. Maybe the big baddie wasn't yet physical and was relying on a couple of henchmen to do the abducting?

It was live action, not a cartoon. It was set in a make-believe world. I think I remember one of the characters was a rat or a mouse and he was quite a large man in costume with face paints on, but it's quite a hazy memory there. I think similarly there was also a cat character. The other characters were maybe like a scarecrow or made-up things rather than all people dressed as animals.

It's all a little hazy but it's been bothering me for years that I can't remember it. Any help would be greatly received!

I guess if I don't mind out I'll just write a book of it and wait for someone to sue me for copyright ?

It's just occurred to me that you might be thinking of The Box Of Delights:
