As if the scripts weren't bad enough, a rough cut of episode 1 has turned up on The Pirate Bay.

It seems episode 2 has found it's way into that particular Bay as well. DW S8 is getting more leaky than a sieve! One or more people at BBC Wales are possibly about to get their employment (ex)terminated for this! This could be seriously embarrassing for the BBC, and the Moff's seriously going to be cheesed off about this.

How would one set his ship in the direction of these episodes?

I've had a quick look at episode 1, and without revealing anything spoilerific for obvious reasons, the leaked episodes are in B&W, heavily watermarked with "Property of BBC Worldwide" and the name of who the raw copies were meant for. The picture is also heavily cropped and letterboxed, so the top and bottom of the picture are effectively missing.

Search out the leaks if you really think you must, but I personally wouldn't recommend it. It'd be far better to wait for the episode to be screened on BBC One next month. Aside from copyright issues, it isn't really worth bothering to download the leaked version.

Nah I wouldn't recommend watching them either, it's very unedited and some of complete CGI images are also there in their before completion state.

I think heads will be rolling at Auntie Beeb...

Interestingly, the video is watermarked as being for Marcelo Camargo at Drei Marc, who do translation and subtitling in Brazil.

The same name as on the documents previously leaked. Of course what we really want to know is... what framerate is the leaked video? Wink

Is Phase Correlation still considered the bee's knees? I thought I'd read somewhere that block matching methods had over-taken it, with the availability of cheaper computing power.

I thought Phase Correlation was a way of steering block matching? (Though I think Phase Correlation also gives you an advantage with rotational motion - which block matching used to ignore as it only used linear not rotational vectors?)

Certainly Alchemist PhC is still deemed the gold standard, though ForA have a very good converter that is also deemed acceptable.

Well, from what little bits I've seen of this leaked episode, while the technical quality is deliberately crap, the episode looks pretty good, and typically bonkers (with a few dark moments) for a first episode featuring a freshly regenerated incarnation of The Doctor. I don't feel spoilered at all, and it's actually making me look forward even more to the official premiere on BBC One next month.

Even though the 2nd episode appears to have been leaked as well, I'm not going to bother downloading it, even if . . .

According to some speculation on certain other forums, Davros is back.

Someone is definitely likely to be fired because of all this unauthorised leakage ... probably!

It looks like it was a central server that was "open" rather than the individual who's name appear on the copies.

It's common practice for the edit to have rough cuts for editorial review, subtitles or dubbing with internal of 3rd parties.

The mistake of one person, or just the workflow, Marcelo Camargo is gonna take some stick for this, just by association.

Someone just asked this but on another thread and think this is the place to ask (sorry to that member):

Is there a trailer tonight before/after the world cup for series 8 and if so where have people read this to speculate?
