Can't say I've been particularly impressed with the first two to be honest. Today's was better than last weeks but there's something still not quite right IMO, and it's not just the fact it's a new doctor.

I noticed from the credits we went straight into Dance Fever. Wonder whether that was a planned decision (don't they have to have someone ultra high in command to pass that?!) or just trying to reduce the overrun?
It was planned - fairly early on. Still, wouldn't have tempted me to watch Strictly Dance Fever...

Neither you or many others three million switched off at the end of Doctor Who and SDF got 6 million. Now imagine what it would be like if Doctor Who had a strong lead-in and not SDF! Rolling Eyes

I didn't get to watch the episode until this morning, and thanks to the pointless over-run of Match of the Day, anyone who recorded it using Sky+ lost the last 2 minutes !!!! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Delete it and set it for tonight on BBC Three.

I think shows get worse when they get popular. The writters become slightly cocky. Russel T. Davis, is a brilliant writter, but I think the current two havn't been so good. The plots havn't been clearly explained. I hope the next episode is good.

happened to me and I dont have Sky+, my video tape just stopped. Its really annoying. The start of it had about 3 mins of MOTD.

I missed last weeks but seen yesterdays. I think its rather good but possibly there is a chance people got so used to Christopher Ecclesstone as the Doctor that we possibly expect too much of David Tennent (who I like as Doctor Who)

Might this be a regional problem, as BBC 1 West Mids was ok, because it ended right on the copyright caption ! (Just checked.)

Obviously we had the bit of footy at the beginning too.

Bearing in mind my problem last week, (see earlier in the thread) I took a VT copy, to transfer to DVD later, at the same time. (The SKY + set up downstairs also has the video still set up as well, which can still record from SKY as long as you watch the item you're taping at the same time as well!)

Oh & UFO on ITV 4 taped on the standard SKY upstairs ok as well ! Very Happy

There's also a WHO repeat on BBC 3 on Friday around 9pm too!

How come 'Confidential' isn't repeated ?

Not 'rights problems' surely ?

Well it didn't start dead on 7.15 so I'm not surprised people may have not recorded all of it. That's where good old PDC is an absolute Godsend!

It's on again tonight and on Friday on BBC Three at 9, which actually works better because I watched it again when it was getting darker last night. Far more atmospheric!

I record it too, but I have a really good method. I have my freeview box pluged directly into my DVD recorder when the ident opening* comes press record when the shows finished press stop. One Dr. who episode stored.

Very Happy

*this and the few seconds of trailer afterwards can later be trimed off after tranfering the dvd+rw to my hard drive.
