Great episode, visually quite stunning, almost ruined by the last couple of minutes inane conversation between Rose and the Doctor.

Have to say, my first time watching it on BBC One Wales since I got NTL Digital, and it's about time BBC Scotland showed the same pride in their productions as BBC Wales does. I really like that "We're proud to say was made in Wales by BBC Wales" intro. It's about time BBC Scotland claimed ownership of David Tennant as well.

Well it seems to me that Scotland make the least effort of all four services.

The frontcap now used has changed from the old 'Made in Wales' one, probably as the other two programmes featured in it are from ages ago now.

Why can't David Tennant just play a Scottish doctor? His accent's a bit ropey as it is.

I just love how in sci-fi like this they come up with 'Advanced scientific' explanations to 'supernatural' legends... brilliant

Can't say I've been particularly impressed with the first two to be honest. Today's was better than last weeks but there's something still not quite right IMO, and it's not just the fact it's a new doctor.

I noticed from the credits we went straight into Dance Fever. Wonder whether that was a planned decision (don't they have to have someone ultra high in command to pass that?!) or just trying to reduce the overrun?

I loved it- better than last week, and very much like good old fashioned Doctor Who....chasing down corridors by a beast.

The monks were actually quite scary too- they've really pushed the just past 7pm boundaries.

I know Gary Lineker linked directly into Graham after Match of the Day Live but that was just explaining what's coming up on SDF. It then went to straight into an ident and the Doctor came on.

I'm pretty sure they linked shows directly last year or so. Better I'd say.

Saw last weeks episode & though it was quite good, the make up for the "humanised cats" was brilliant.

However I have missed this weeks episode, is it repeated at all?

Unfortunately alot of the "old farts brigade" (broadsheet newspaper critics) didn't like it much & gave reasons why in "big long words" like they always do Rolling Eyes

Nice one - I'd had a similar thought after seeing that bit on the trailer, but you've saved me an edit job!
