Was that the longest ever trail the BBC have played for one programme?! Laughing It went on forever giving us a big preview of the next four episodes of Who, including next week, the school with Sarah Jane and K9, the 18th Century and the Cybermen. No v/o or red blinds endboard either.

I only remember seeing one for next week in Scotland :S Did anyone get a cap?

It was excellent - really good opening episode. David Tennant is much better than the previous Doctor.

They showed it today before Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Very Happy

Had my doubts bout Tennant but yes, indeed he is a great Doctor. Dubious once again about the supernatural denounmont - this is supposed to be a sci-fi show not a fantasy show. And regarding medical treatment - it's diseases that get transferred from person to person, not medication. If healthy people could cure sick people just by touching them..... you see where I'm going with this?

Seeing a theme though...

SERIES 1 EPISODE ONE: Contemporary Earth Invasion by aliens
CHRISTMAS SPECIAL: Contemporary Earth Invasion by aliens

SERIES 1 EPISODE 2: Far future with Cassandra
SERIES 2 EPISODE 1: Far future with Cassandra

SERIES 1 EPISODE 3: Victorian Era
SERIES 2 EPISODE 2: Victorian Era

I didn't see any implications of anything supernatural going on...

The trouble with that episode, good though it was, is that it was just too crammed full of stuff. Cassandra's redemption, the body swapping, the Sisters and their nefarious experiments, the Face of Boe... if they'd left Cassandra out for another time, for example, they'd have had time to explain a sensible solution to the zombie problem, rather than have a half-arsed repetition of The Doctor Dances 's "everybody lives", not to mention enough time for a proper spooky build-up to finding the tanks.

Not quite sure why being saved from some manky humans suddenly gave the Face a new lease of life, either... something else that needed a few extra minutes. Looking forward to seeing him again though.

I've got high hopes for next week though - a good old-fashioned running-through-corridors, escaping-from-the-monster romp!

Anyone else notice that when the TARDIS dematerialised in the opener, the words BAD WOLF were still just visible on the tarmac?

Well this time round, I f**ked up my recording, rather the Beeb doing it for me !

I had this 'bright idea'.

Time the video to run from 1913 to 2033 & then set the reminder to 'Auto View' to BBC 3 at the end, then leave SKY box on BBC 1.(Also turning off Search & Scan banner too!)

Checked at the end of BBC 1, & bl**dy SKY caption plastered over the end credits.

Told sister, 'Don't wipe the SKY + copy yet !'

As regards Tennant, top man, plus it's his 35th next Tuesday apparantly too!(Beat him by a week !)

He still looks like Jarvis Cocker when he's got his specs on though!

(See the last 'Dead Ringers' Xmas TV special for an explanation of that gag !)

Billie wasn't dubbed as Cassandra, was she? If she did that voice herself, she's brilliant !

No Billie impersonated Cassandra, as did everybody else when they were taken over; she was very good and I thought she'd be the weakest thing in the show when it was revealed she was cast.

It's repeated tonight on BBC Three at 7.05pm, put an old fashioned tape in the machine instead!! Smile

I transferred the SKY + copy to tape, then transfered the tape to DVD, so I saw the show 3 times in the space of 14 hours !

I'll have to rely on the SKY + for the first few weeks, seeing ITV 4 are still running UFO at the same time with no late night repeat, plus TOTP clashes with the Sunday showing & with the Friday 9pm showing, HIGNFY & Smith & Jones are on !

All these prog clashes. When it rains it pours etc etc.

This week's episode is quite interesting. It looks like he's travelled back to Neanderthal times. Oh wait, it's just that the football's overrun.

Have to say, my first time watching it on BBC One Wales since I got NTL Digital, and it's about time BBC Scotland showed the same pride in their productions as BBC Wales does. I really like that "We're proud to say was made in Wales by BBC Wales" intro. It's about time BBC Scotland claimed ownership of David Tennant as well.

Ian Dury isn't bloody punk though Billie, christ. Maybe in comparison to your music...

Is it just me or does Billie look pregnant in this ep?
