Could they not have an ECP, which would cut out the need for the CA to talk over the titles?

It's a possibility, but even then if you wanted uninterrupted music, the ECP would have to be mute!

Tonight's Doctor Who was simply amazing - this surely must be the BBC at its best! David Tennant was superb playing The Doctor and once again, Billie Piper was out of this world!!!! The effects were amazing, the plot moved along rapidly and the comedy was great too! those dying people with warts all over their bodies were pretty hideous but it was unbelievably unbeatable television!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Can't wait till next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well this time round, I f**ked up my recording, rather the Beeb doing it for me !

I had this 'bright idea'.

Time the video to run from 1913 to 2033 & then set the reminder to 'Auto View' to BBC 3 at the end, then leave SKY box on BBC 1.(Also turning off Search & Scan banner too!)

Checked at the end of BBC 1, & bl**dy SKY caption plastered over the end credits.

Told sister, 'Don't wipe the SKY + copy yet !'

As regards Tennant, top man, plus it's his 35th next Tuesday apparantly too!(Beat him by a week !)

He still looks like Jarvis Cocker when he's got his specs on though!

(See the last 'Dead Ringers' Xmas TV special for an explanation of that gag !)

Billie wasn't dubbed as Cassandra, was she? If she did that voice herself, she's brilliant !

Was that the longest ever trail the BBC have played for one programme?! Laughing It went on forever giving us a big preview of the next four episodes of Who, including next week, the school with Sarah Jane and K9, the 18th Century and the Cybermen. No v/o or red blinds endboard either.

As if a term like 'Chav' is going to still exist after 5 billion years. Confused
Its not suppost to be real I know, that and the NHS gags are going to be ones that Woosh over heads everywhere outside the UK.

Great return to form, bring on the other 12

Yeah I saw that - basically it was the complete 'trail' that BBCi have been showing for the last few days.

Good stuff!

Now a plea that next weekend the Network Announcer can avoid talking over the re-instated 'middle 8' part of the closing theme.

8 Million viewers then, good start Smile

Although it's worth remembering that Ghostboat got 9.1 million!

No Billie impersonated Cassandra, as did everybody else when they were taken over; she was very good and I thought she'd be the weakest thing in the show when it was revealed she was cast.

It's repeated tonight on BBC Three at 7.05pm, put an old fashioned tape in the machine instead!! Smile

I think that's what the press were shown after the press screening of New Earth. Next week's episode is the werewolf episode Tooth & Claw, after that it's the return of Sarah Jane and K9 in School Reunion, then Girl In The Fireplace with Tennant's real life girlfriend Sophia Myles who he snogs in the episode!! Shocked
