Just to let all you Doctor Who fans out there that there is a DE Exihibtion in the center of Blackpool containting many props and costumes from DW over the years. I was at Blackpool this week and went in and would recommend it for any fans!

Is this the original exhibition that used to be around in the 70s and 80s, or is it a new one?

I couldn't tell you I haven't been in Blackpool in a good few years, but last time I was there I don't think it was there .... so ? dunno sorry!

It's ok, it's just that on one of the classic series DVDs you see a clip of the exhibition at Blackpool being advertised, so I was just wondering if it had stayed open all this time, or if they've opened a new one.

I think it is a new exhibition as I can remember as a kid entering the TARDIS and then going down some stairs to the old exhibition, which was situated on a corner of the street oppositite Funland (heading towards the tower) - I think, well I was only about 9 or 10. I do seem to remember that the old exhibition closed early to mid 1980's

Not been to the new exhibition, yet!

Went to the Blackpool exhibition a couple of months before Series 1, when it (obviously) only had classic Who props in. It now, apparently, has 'new Who' stuff as well, but not masses.

It's a mix of old and new stuff - a lot of it, I belive, is form the old Doctor Who exhibition, but some of it has been 'rescued' fromt he old Llangollen and Longleat Who exhibitions (the console room is definitely the one I remember walking through at Longleat some years back)

I was also in the Doctor Who exhibition this weekend gone in Blackpool. I had to visit it after I loved the old one that closed in 1985.
I actually went there on my 10th birthday and have a picture of me standing next to the tardis doors Cool
Anyway this new exhibition was a bit disappointing to be honest. I have to say the old Llangollen one was better. A hefty £7 to get in and a lot of the light buttons on the displays weren't working, there was no David Tennant on show either. I liked seeing the old regeneration clips again on the tv in there but they need to update that as well. They only had up to Slyvester Mc Coy which said 1987-
The shop at the front which you can go in for free looked very impressive at first. They have old Doctor Who videos and magazines from the 1980's so I thought great I can stock up on a few. But the magazines were priced at £2.99-£4.99 an issue. And the majority of the videos were over priced as well some being as much as £24.99 for a now obsolete format. So I thought it was all a bit of a rip-off to be honest.

Whatever happens - I WANT THE DOCTORS DOGGY PAL BACK!!!!!!

I think The Face Of Boe will impart the information about more regenerations to the doctor in the 'great secret' he will tell only to a wandering stranger when he dies. There could be something rescued from the doctors homeworld that restarts the process.

According to RTD, the great secret is only four words - "You are not alone" is the leading theory, "I am your father" notwithstanding.

Maybe 'You are not alone' means that there's another Time Lord somewhere, meaning the show can cary on (The only problem is that they would have to rename the new time lord 'The Doctor)

If one recalls, the Time Lord Romana was left behind in E-space, so it is obvious that The Doctor cannot be the only Time Lord remaining after the Time War.

Also, was Susan ever considered to be a Time Lord?

Just asking about the mueseum; how long is it open until? Because it would be quite a drive to get to Blackpool Laughing

According to their website the exhibition is open every day from 10.30am till 5.30pm except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
It does say though that certain times during the Winter season it will be closed for refurbishment and updates. Best to email or phone them if you plan to go then. Cool
