the music was excelent, particularly what was played when Rose and the Dr were on either sides of the void, very haunting.

just had a though thought, if torchwood was destroyed in 'our' universe how can they make a spin off about it
DO
The Doctor
It said on Dr who confidential that its set in a differant Torchwood and I agree The music was brill.

However, not all the Cybermen would have got sucked through the void. Yvonne from Torchwood for example did not have that "void stuff" (hadn't passed through) on her and would not have been sucked through. Strange how she did her "duty for Queen and Country" when she was a Cyberman, I thought all stuff from their previous life was scrapped along with emotions.

she was saying it very sternly as she went to be transformed.

Plus although Yvonne would have no void stuff, her suit would have as it would have been brought through the void.

(for the unitiated, this is a play on the phrase "I'm in your base, killing your dudes")

I really enjoyed the episode and the twist with Rose's Dad I never saw coming. I think it was the best way they could've separated The Doctor and Rose. The papers and tv guides were hinting at Rose being exterminated, nice red herring. Where does everyone see the series going from here-will Rose ever return and will Tennant be the next one to jump ship at the end of the next series?

It's sci-fi. They always manage to come up with some explanation for why they can do something or bring someone back. Even if it contradicts something in an earlier episode.

Once again Doctor Who excells itself. Comedy, drama and Sci-fi are very hard to mix yet Russell T Davies does it so bloody well. That's twice he's made me cry now and then he twists it one more time and introduced the bride!

Is it Christmas yet Mummy? Wink

Watching it on BBC3 again now and the music is superb.
Would love to get hold of a copy of it.
Such a sad yet exciting episode.
Doctor Who rules!

oh that was fab. plus she didn't actually die which is nice

Great final episode, with one of the Daleks revealing a previously unsuspected talent as a stand-up comic Laughing

I thought the producers spoilt it with Rose delivering the prologue, so that you knew at the beginning of the epi she wasn't going to die (I don't know of many corpses that can do pieces-to-camera)!! Rolling Eyes

I have to agree that the best twist was Catherine Tate turning up unexpectedly in the Tardis!! Does her face look bovvered by it though? I'll get my coat.... Embarassed

Another great ep of Dr Who, I thought it was funny when they said how many of you are there and they said "4" but the "Pest Controll" was funny too.

It was sad at the end and I thought Rose would just go but then as I posted in this thread a few weeks back, a friend of mine was working on the show and said she does not really die.

The end was funny I thought she would say something like "Am I bothered"
