That was a fantastic epsode we saw with the Daleks and Cybermen. I'm guessing the quote(s) for the week in DW pop culture would be:

Cyberman: All Cybermen are superior.
Dalek Leader: Incorrect, you Cybermen have only one advantage.
Cyberman: What's that?
Dalek Leader: You're better at dying.

I laughed when I heard this and this must have been picked up by other forumers watching DW. Laughing

Agreed great quote, never knew this was the first time they had met

BTW have any of the Doctor's companions died in the past?

2 have as far as I know - the infamous Adric, who was blown up crashing into earth in 1982, and Sara Kingdom in 1966, although she was only a companion for a very short time.

I wonder if Cathrine Tate will be his companion in the Xmas special then? Wink Which apparently will be a parody of 'It's A Wonderful Life'

After my disappointment at the 2012 episode, this two-parter was just excellent - especially tonights. Didn't see the twist of her being saved by 'dad' - I just thought she'd get sucked in!

Really, really good stuff - very sad at the end but nice to leave it on a bemusing moment with Ms Tate.

Line of the episode for me had to be "This isn't a war - it's pest control!"

To paraphrase the kid in Superman II - Cybermen were rubbish, they didn't even do nothing.

Not all of the Dalecs got sucked into the void, just before the Black Dalec and the Genisis Ark started being pulled into the void the Black Dalec breifly said "Emergency Temporal Shift" and then teleportes away, its quite hard to notice it in the speed of things. Could this mean that they will be in the next series aswell. Confused

I agree, the daleks and cybermen did have great dialogue and I almost did a double take when I saw Catherine Tate on the TARDIS, I thought that was the new sidekick. But enough from Asa, I want to know if you found some funny bits in the episode.

To go with the excitement some tardis style BBC2/Channel 4 ident clips made by a forumer from The TV Lounge with limited software. The Channel 4 looks dodgy in this one but brownie points for those in the north-east if they can figure out what's on top of the 4!

Interesting to notice while watching this series of 'Confidential', all Billie Piper's seemed to be filmed on the same day/same session, while you got a variety of David Tennent shots ! (ISTR he had a beard on one episode!)

Well the most inconsistant episode of Confidential was the one about Mark Gatiss, where he was shown with his 'normal' hair, a beard, and the completely bald over the course of the programme. Clearly filmed over several months.

What a great ep! Very moving in parts; showing the Doctor and Rose left either side of the wall in the separate parallel worlds was a nice idea.

As for the final goodbye in Norway...they had to get one more 'Bad Wolf' reference in there didn't they! I had a feeling the Doctor would lose contact with Rose before those last few words.

Good how she 'died' without really dying. I too thought she'd was going to get sucked into the void.

And after all that, last thing I expected was for Catherine Tate to appear at the end! What on earth...!?

Well, when RTD says that he's going to leave it on a cliffhanger, he's usaly right.

Let's just hope that the Children in Need clip is a bit more substancial this time round, though.
