Possibly not in the next episode as the end of season is a two parter. So it's a bit like the end of last season, where the character announced to be leaving departs in that series. Looks like the plugging for torchwood is to get far more blatant.
And for those more interested in the BBC News being shown during the episode...

Edit: Another BBC News still can be found: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/gallery/s2_11gallery/1024/torch_carrier.jpg

Hey 2012 that got me thinking wonder if Dr. Who will still be running by then? 7 series?? I don't think it will last, It's come back again sure but I do think it will get axed again in the end. Well after 3 or 4 series it will be cut to about 8 or 9 episodes per series I think then episodes cut to 30 mintues a few series later.
It will get axed again when we get to about 'new' series 9 or 10 I think. Sorry if im sounded like a prophet of doom but just thinking out of the box.

That's a very vaild point really, and whilst I think some of the hype that's surrounded the last two series will start to drop down maybe by series four, there is no reason that it can't carry on indefinately really. Obviously it will evolve from how it is now, just as the original series did, with the producer and cast changing, but if it's kept fresh, and doesn't become stale, I can really see Doctor Who surviving for many years to come.

Some genius in the Outpost Gallifrey forum found this. It's the trailer we'll be seeing all next week probably.

JUST ONE POINT I'D LIKE CLEARED UP:-
If Rose is apparently (?) leaving at the end of this series, then how come the BBC released a press statement towards the beginning of this new second series stating BOTH David Tennant and Billie Piper had been signed up for a 3rd series.
Or have I missed something here???

I'm a huge Doctor Who fan but I thought tonight's episode was rubbish! It was as if they'd just run out of money and needed a story that didn't cost. The premise was 'fear' but it wasn't remotely frightening . I hope there's a bigger budget for Series 3.
