I have a feeling her "leaving" is going to be open-ended from some of things I've seen about the place. I think she could still appear in the Xmas special or even a couple of episodes of series 3.

Wasn't Rose's departure announced in last Saturday's episode, which I am just watching now on BBC3 - thanks to my hard-drive Sky+ knackering on me (replacement arrives tomorrow!!) when the so-called satan announces that she will soon die in battle (erm seems to me she will die in episode 13 - Doomsday when the cybermen try to take over the earth - I hope its the old generation of cybermen and not the new generation as I think the new generation look B****y awful!)

Even if she's killed they could do a Peri and reveal she's still alive and it just looked like she was killed.

Hmm... Odd episode, I think Peter Kay was good in it but the episode would have been better with more Doctor & Rose.

One of the weaker episodes in this series in my opinion.

You could see what they were trying to achieve, but it was really poorly executed.

A waste of Peter Kay.

The script simply wasn't funny enough to get away with the diabolically poor storyline.

It was just crap.

personally I think the scooby doo corridor sequence was worth all the poor bits

Very nice of BBC ONE NI to allow the whole theme tune to play uninterupted at the end "for one week only" as they stressed! Very Happy

How on earth did that bit fit into the story though?

It was a strange. Interesting. I hope they don't do any more like that though, although it's not a bad thing to try something different once in a while.

I did like that bit but I just felt that Peter Kay's "blob" character was killed off too easily just to fit into the 45 minute episode, they should have had him as a returning character for a future episode.

All in all though it has been a good series generally. Only this episode & first episode of the series have let it down so far. How many more episodes left of this series?

I think they should have still done his experiences in Rose,Aliens of London and The Christmas Invasion but i think it went on for too long and the Absorbalox should've been done differently so when he absorbs people,he can actually shapeshift into them. Then the doctor and Rose could have talked to an imposter of that character and seen the real version talking to the camera in a building then they could have realised it's an alien. He could have revealed himself to be Absorbalox then the character[what's he called] could have gone"I wonder if there's anything happening now" then had a look through the window and gone"yes there is!" then turned the camera off and ran downstairs. Then the Absorbalox could have gone"shake hands" and the doctor could have said"don't" then the absorbalox could have decided to teleport away.

Long post! And i think there's too much death in doctor who.I think they should lower it a bit.

That last episode was awful. I can accept them trying something different, but the way they went about it was excruicating. Humour was aimed at the under 8s and there was some rather dodgy acting around. Car crash tele at its err... best I guess
