Excellent episode although a little derivative of ALIEN

- the ruins of the ancient civilisation reminded me of the scene where John Hurt finds ALIEN eggs

- the chase through the air ventilator was a clear echo of events on board the Nostromo

- the final log from the captain....need I say more

But terrifying television even for adults. I don't know what the children must have made of it. It's such a joy to see Doctor Who at this standard

They said that the rocket had its own independent power source, which presumably was on board the rocket itself.

Probably from the begining to mid September on BBC 3, maybee repeated later in the week on BBC1. Although the other alternative could be screening Torchwood on BBC1 as part of its Winter season from January to March.

I'm pretty confident that it'll be September/October time as when it was announced they said there would be a Christmas Special too along with the Doctor Who Christmas Special.

Finally, they admit she's going.

It wouldn't suprise me if her 'departure' her already been filmed. After all last series at about this point in they announced Christopher Eclestone (typo?) was leaving and in the final episode we saw the regeneration. I use the word departure loosely as there are rumours that she's been killed off.

Actually I think they announced (prematurely) Eccleston's departure after the first episode. It was another week or two until they announced David Tennant as his replacement.

I read somewhere that the episode was written with Rose's departure in mind, so they won't be needing any reshoots.

"OK" mag lies then, (i was on my lunchbreak, it was there) there was an interview with Billie saying how she's got a contract for season 3 and is intending to do a 3rd, but has not started filming it yet...
