tonight on network we got a "Rushed" announcement over the end credits and for the first time in five weeks.....the middle 8 could be heard in all it's glory.

Yes at last the middle 8 bit with no interuption! I think the middle 8 bit was shifted more towards the end than usual though - I've none recorded to check though. Have the BBC released a full version of this reworked theme music anywhere?

Closing music was slightly different last night as there was no preview of next week's episode. Middle 8 usually starts earlier into the closing credits.

EXCELLENT promo was just shown after the EastEnders omnibus on BBC ONE that lasted about 3 minutes. Very nicely edited bits of the last 5 episodes.

I've never seen such a long promo before Very Happy

EDIT: Just copied it to a WindowsMedia file, it's 2:43 long, and unfortunately 6.9Mb, but if anyone wants me to Email it to them I will as it's too big to post on here. Shocked

Great series so far & the Cybermen looked so menacing. I have never watched Doctor Who before Ecclestone although saw clips of the Cybermen in shows, they look rubbish before but now look quite realistic in sci fi terms.

David Tennant certainly fits the role of Docotr Who very well.

Roger Lloyd Pack's character must of been taken straight off Roy Chubby Brown's U.F.O film. Smile

I read on another website that Billie Piper WAS leaving at the end of the series and that MICKEY dies this Saturday. Does anyone know if these statements are true?

I am reserving my judgement with regards to the Cybermen, due to the fact that the last cybermen story (during the Sylvester McCoy era) was the best so far (in my honest opinion). The story was "Silver Nemesis" and it was a very intellectual story and cleverly written by Kevin Clarke.

I will just have to see what the ending of this current 2-parter brings before I make my final judgement!

Rumour machines have it that Mickey does leave in SAtuday's episode but with a possible return in the future (already known is that the character will appear in Torchwood). Rumour also has it that Rose leaves - but according to BBC press release, at the start of this series, she is signed up for series 3 - so who is telling the truth?

TORCHWOOD - this year key-word but does it have to be mentioned in EVERY episode, so far! - Bad Wolf wasn't in every episode of the last series.

Mickey, or at least Noel Clarke, seems to be credited to the end of the season, but watching Confidential I got the impression that he might meet a heroic end... I'm sure the truth is out there in spoilers but I've been studiously avoiding anything not from an official BBC source.

I hope Noel Clarke stays in the show 'cos he looked so tasty this week in only his underpants!

What annoyed me about Saturday's episode is that it was too much hassle to have Mickey with two different haircuts.

I thought so too! If he does go it'll be a shame because I thought his character (and Noel's acting) was much improved on the first series.
