Great Episode! Was a bit sad when K-9 was "blown up" near the end although thankfully he "survived". Noticed the typical "drag over to one side" motion of K-9 at the end, he seemed to want to keep veering left, alot like the Skutters in Red Dwarf Laughing

BTW in regards to The Modern Doctor Who's, the series 1 DVD's, I have seen these in both a cardboard boxset & in individual standard DVD boxes. Are there any differences between the two available "formats" apart from the packaging?

And BBC3 seem to remove the DOG for certain programmes - Doctor Who being one of them. I can't remember what their justification was for that.

Don't worry - There is always Mark III, that is on the way Wink

I think that the new Doctor although supposedly appeals to both old and new fans I do feel that many of the past is either being conveniently forgotton about or brining about the end of masses of old storylines such as Sarah Jane and K9, the total destructon of the Timelords and Gallifrey

What about other renegade timelords such as The Master, etc...

See big-budget 1996 TV movie "The Enemy Within" for Master's guzzling up by Tardis's Eye of Harmony.

I always take it that in this new version: The 96 TV movie was part of the storyline therefore the master is dead.

Cushing's dead. Richard E Grant has never been a "canon" doctor, nor has Hugh Grant, Joana Lumley, Rowan Atkinson or anyone else who starred in The Curse Of Fatal Death.

The idea was they came from an alternate universe. There could be people who've never played the Doctor before!

Didn't know Peter Cushing was dead though.

He was dead at the start, as well. Being dead generally isn't much of a barrier these days when it comes to bringing a character back, anyway. Eastenders , for example - and that isn't even science fiction (yet).

Anyone collecting the DVDs in The Sun this week?

I just had 'Rose'.(Replacement copy due to the original being 'f**ked up by Graham Norton first time round!)

Didn't bother with the rest, as they're odd episodes

The Master more or less dies in evey adventure only to turn up like a bad peeny in another adventure - just like the Daleks and the Cybermen!!!! (must be something to do with the time-lines!!!)

Another great episode, and great to see that the BBC NI CA didn't speak at all over the titles, he waited until the endcap was shown and spoke then Smile

I noticed that. My viewing habits with Doctor Who have become somewhat concerning - over to BBC Wales for the start to enjoy their gloating, then to BBC NI for the end for the theme tune, as NI speak the least over it. (And didn't speak over any of it this week). Was it the same for the other nations?
