Really enjoyed last night's episode. The best so far this season.
Was great to see Sarah Jane and K9 return. Was sad near the end with K9 but hey it sort of had a happy ending with the rebuilding of the 'dog'.
Maybe in the future we could have a kind of two or three doctors episode with Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker or Sylvester Mc Coy? That I would like to see. Looking forward to seeing the return of the Cybermen soon. Laughing

I have heard that Sarah Jane and K9 might be reunited in some sort of spin off

Well Sarah Jane already has audio spin-offs, produced by Big Finish. And, of course, she and K9 originally had a TV spin-off in 1981 ("K9 and Company"), but unfortunately it never got past a one-off pilot episode.

Even with K9 mark 3 destroyed, there's still three other K9's "alive" and well in the universe...

K9 mark 1 is with Leela.

K9 mark 2 is with Romana in e-space (another audio spin-off: "Adventures in a Pocket Universe").

K9 mark 4 is now with Sarah Jane on Earth.

I think they should do the ten doctors. All the surviving TV ones and film doctors Paul McGann and Peter Cushing, web doctor Richard E Grant and David Tennant could split into two and one could regenerate, being the new doctor!

Firstly - why?!

Secondly - why?!

Thirdly - Cushing's dead. Richard E Grant has never been a "canon" doctor, nor has Hugh Grant, Joana Lumley, Rowan Atkinson or anyone else who starred in The Curse Of Fatal Death.

And REG has specifically stated he doesn't want to do any more contrived multiple-doctor episodes (somewhere)

And my S1-S2 pattern is still sort-of working -

Series One - episode where Rose's "boyfriend" joins crew and is involved with a lot of humans interacting with computers (Long Game)

Series Two - episode where Rose's ex-boyfriend joins crew and is involved with a lot of humans interacting with computers (School Reunion)

One thing that puzzled me in last night's episode - The Tardis was parked up inside the school when Sarah Jane found it. But the school was blown up. And yet the Tardis survived in all its glory. Shouldn't that have been destroyed in the blast?

It's survived falls of cliffs and down mines(amongst other things) before now, so I think it's fairly safe to say it's very hard to destroy.

I notice BBC3 broadcast the credits uninteruppted. Nice to see that for a change.

Yes there was a line in the Episode Rose, which said something along the lines of "the armies of Gengis Khan could not get through those doors, believe me they have tried."

having been wanting to see this ep more than any other in the series I was more than a little annoyed when I forgot all about it yesterday!

Just seen the repeat...

And how lovely to see Sarah Jane again, so nicely done, funny, touching, moving... She's still looking gorgeous too. It was a little too final though, would love to see her popping up in a Christmas special or something.

And now in English, rather than some form of galifreyan!!!!

I think that the new Doctor, although supposedly appeals to both old and new fans, is abandoning a lot of its historical storyline past. Or has it to do with the Great Time War (which unfortunately we may never see on television!) that much of the Doctors past has been wiped away.

For instance in this weeks episode the Doctor was going on about the aliens plan to reveal the conundrum about time, life, universe etc. But this has already been broken and discovered by the people of Logopolis (Tom Bakers last ever adventure as The Doctor!). This was the middle story of the Master Trilogy spanning both Tom Bakers last couple of adventures and Peter Davison's first adventure. The story, if I remember correctly was that the Doctor was heading to Logoplis for a new chameleon circuit. The Master had, by ow nicked NIssa's fathers body and was following the Doctor. According to the story Logopolis was the keystone to life and any damage to the planet would, inevitably, cause the unravelling of the nexus and end the universal itself.

What has ever happened to the UNIT people, especially Brigadier Alastair Gordon Lethbridge Stewart?

What about other renegade timelords such as The Master, The Rani, etc...

If the timewar ever happened then all of Doctors previous adventures did not happen and the time-thread would have vanished!!!!!

WOOOW!! Too much hypothesis here just for a fantasy drama - I need to get out more!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing
Bring me back to earth with a real decent drama - let me watch Life On Mars, again - PLEASE!!!!! Laughing
