Breakfast had a short report on the premieres of the new episode, and also showed a brief clip of what looked like

the Doctor faffing around with some cable leading into a tipped-over TARDIS, both doors open, while chatting to a little girl who could well have been a young Amy.

The clip can also be seen on http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/8575480.stm which is a three and half minute (video clip) interview.

Getting really excited about Series 5, not long to go now, can't wait.

Apparently at the premier:

The titles were still the old ones, they're keeping back the new ones for the first showing on BBC 1

Have to say that this series seems to be shaping up nicely, roll on 3rd April Very Happy

EDIT: WARNING does contain quite a few spoilers, including brief flashes of the new Tardis interior, just incase anybody wants to avoid that until transmission of course Smile

We're in a spoiler thread, so no need to worry anymore about getting snapped at. Laughing

Yeah although I doubt the new intro will be as different as people are presuming, afterall, the programme itself in style hasn't changed that drastically. Not that it was going to, seeing Moffat liked RTD's style.

Oh, and the girl in the clip is Amy, as we visit her through several periods of her life before getting to the present day Amy... obviously... in her kissogram policewoman's outfit.

Oh that's alright then, in that case here's a completely different trailer that BBC America aired:

I think this may turn out to be my most favourite series since the show returned.

Also includes some close ups of Karen, very pretty IMO Smile

As a Londoner, I do like that Amy is going to have an accent that is not a London accent, makes a nice change Smile

I met Karen a few years ago, she's lovely. However, before seeing all these trailers I wasn't planning on watching Series 5 at all. I hope it lives up to the hype, because it looks like the best series yet.

Yup, having given up watching Doctor Who half way through series 4, and hating the specials, I have to say the trailers have given me hope that the new series is definitely going to be a must-watch once again. I've always been a fan of Moffat's writing, so I think we're in for a treat.

I must be the only one who enjoyed Series 4 then, I like Series 1 & 3 as well but wasn't a fan of Series 2. However Series 5 just looks spectacular, I watched back the trailers for Series 1-5 & Series 5's definitely stood out from the rest for me.

For me anything Martha in was worth watching, Rose and Donna are far better companions than Miss Overactress... the companion who was confessing undying love by episode 2. But everyone's entitled to their own opinion I guess. Laughing

I wouldn't say that was Freema's fault though - that was what was written for her.

Martha's characterisation was "wrote wrong" by RTD, IIRC, I'm sure he mentioned that he intended for her to do more than one series, however he realised half way through Series 3 that he had wrote her characterisation too similar to Rose's and so ended up dropping her unintentionally.
