I'd say use this as spoiler and then make a new one when the new series begins for non-spoilers, that seems fair does it not?

Yeah I'd say so, no point bringing back the old thread from the dead now Smile

Yeah this thread was always designed to be spoiler orientated, and yet people still comment when spoilers are made. Ah well!

What is it with the popularity of Ace? Played by an 'actress' who was 25/26 at the time, lumbered with perhaps the worst scripting in history of scripting and the worst ever 'actor' to play the role too. Awful time for the show, embarassing, shoddy and deeply do do.

Probably has something to do with the fact she was most recent companion from the original series.

It's a shame that any 'vote for the best' Doctor Who things will always end up being new stuff now. Not that they were ever useful anyway.

Anybody who has watched a decent amount of the series will know Jamie deserves far better than 12th.

To be fair, six out of that top ten is old series - an yes, I appreciate it's still disproportionately skewed towards new Who, but that's inevitable.
The current Doctor is usually voted as the most popular after a year or so (usually...).

I really liked 'Ace'. Yes she suffered from some terrible dialogue, and was often directed to do some cringeworthy things, but despite that she was still a very likeable character. Plus Sophie Aldred is a great person too which often helps.

Jamie & Leela both should be higher up that poll, nice to see Peri in the upper half rather than the lower half of the table Smile

Sad news to report ... Nicholas Courtney aka The Brigadier has passed away. This was first reported on the Twitter
feed of a former Doctor Who Magazine editor, but has since been confirmed on Nicholas Courtney's official site.
