Yeah, it's almost like the writer planned it so the conclusion would be exciting and dramatic! Crazy, I know, but it could happen.

You lot are probably the best people to ask rather then the traditionalists you find on other forums.
Do you think Doctor Who would benefit from a fixed time spot away from Saturday evening? (eg. Wednesdays at 8pm) cos lets face it there is never ever going to be a fixed schedule on BBC One on Saturday night ever again while ITV has these Cowell led talent shows so maybe it's time to withdraw Doctor Who from this 6:20 one week, 6:25 next week etc and find it a fixed slot somewhere else?

It all depends really, the problem with the current daytime schedules is that there are so many soaps in the current weekday slots, the BBC daren't risk putting the show against them (Doctor Who from 1987-1989 was put along side Coronation Street & did terribly, sure some would argue Who was at it's lowest point then but even so that certainly didn't help). Saturday is the best day, however I've heard that the Wizard Of Oz thing on BBC 1 isn't doing too well at present so perhaps they're using Who to try & boost the ratings, somehow.

The BBC Saturday schedule is ridiculous lately - it seems to be bare for a couple of months and then now (and in the autumn) it's so jam packed they end up pushing flagship shows to ridiculously early start times. BBC1 is now doing ITV's old trick of putting the news before 5pm.
Arguably Doctor Who would have been better in the 7.15pm slot on Sunday the Over the Rainbow results had, with them shown live on Saturday night instead. Alternatively switching Over the Rainbow and Doctor Who on Saturdays would have made sense - and rather than the BBC scheduling around Britain's Got Talent, put Doctor Who in a fixed 7.30pm slot and force ITV to schedule around them - I'm sure they'd have fixed BGT at 8.15pm to avoid any overlap.

Not bad, but still feeling like an hour being crammed into 45 minutes - maybe I'm just getting old.
Dodgy continuity either side of Doctor Who on BBC HD tonight - no announcer on the now/next menu, or to introduce the show, and the music didn't go down under the announcer at the end.

Made it literally unwatchable for me, and annoyingly I was time shifted on HD so didn't want to skip to BBC One to watch as I've missed the start. Very unimpressed.

Just watching tonight's episode recorded from BBC HD and the audio is phase reversed. Unusual to hear this these days - like audio down a drainpipe and stereo effects ultra-wide. Audio problems at tx might explain lack of audio dipping on v/o and so on?
