Yep, apparently at the premier they still used the old titles, so as to keep the new ones a secret, I wonder if the "temporary" ones will appear as a DVD extra?

I doubt it... who'd want to see the RTD intro with a new logo slapped ontop. In 2005 they used music from the 1970's for the press showing, so it's nothing new.

Ah is that what they did then, run the RTD titles with the new logo on top? Never knew they used the 70's music for the 2005 press showing, imagine if it had been the McCoy one, OG would have exploaded Laughing

Quick question, when it comes to reviewing the stories, are we going to review the stories in this thread or the old one from 2007?

If I remember correctly, the CBC pre-release (ahem) of 'Rose' had the Delia Derbyshire arrangement of the theme. If anyone did download it and still has it (I deleted it Rolling Eyes ) could they confirm that?

I'll have a look, the theme on the BBC One version incidently was going to be the original theme they were going to use for series 1 before they decided on a more lighter version of Gold's theme

EDIT: Nope can't find it on there unfortunately.

I always liked this one. You can hear it on the trailers on the DVD extras.

Wouldn't surprise me if they didn't check the forum and see which was hated the most to avoid. Laughing

I can confirm the "CBC pre-release version" of 'Rose' ... or, in other words, the version that got leaked on to the
interwibble, and ended up on torrent sites ... did indeed use the original 1963 - 1970's version of the theme.

I still have it on my HDD ... and despite having the old theme tune, it doesn't have Graham Norton's voice on it!

Though it clearly wasn't a version used on the TV show itself at any point. It was a remixed and remastered version. In stereo too. Must have been an album version done a lot later, as it was very clean.

That's certainly interesting, not quite what I was expecting.
