13 episodes, like the last series. So in theory that would take us up to 8th July. However, with the World Cup starting on 9th June I would be pretty confident that it will finish much later. Indeed there is an England match on Saturday 10th June, and there is a quarter final on Saturday 1st July.

DIfference being SKy has a dedicated sports network whilst BBC doesn't so BBC has to reschedule - sometimes!
I presume that this year's keyword is going to be TORCHWOOD (as already mentioned 3 times in the Christmas special) as a lead into the spin-off in the autumn (starting first on BBC3)

They can hardly take the biggest sporting event in the world off for a programme that can be shown anytime.

Yes there is and England match on 10th June, but it is at 4pm in the afternoon, this should mean it will be over by 7pm for Doctor Who. At worst all i expect to happen is that Doctor Who is moved to 6pm one week, so as not to affect any games. Having the series run any later than the end of June will see ratings for the series fall dramatically, as people go outside, instead of staying in and watching tv, the exact same happened last year towards the end of the series, fueling much speculation that the series would begin in February. Doctor Who WILL run for 13 consecutive weeks, albeit they might not all be in the 7pm slot.

Hello xanner / BskyB-is-best / End-The-TV-Licence-Now... ...goodbye.
I imagine that the BBC will be careful with scheduling Dr Who, as it was a ratings sucess for them last series.

Awesome
Some of us could'nt give a daym about the football, Dr. who's far more important.
What I want to know is when a match does clash why not show the match in the slot for those normal people who care, but us freaks who don't why not put the dr.who episode on BBC3?? then repeat it again on BBC1 the following week??
A few more people would watch it on BBC3 instead on the match then they think you know
