It was fantastic!

I managed to miss the start because Eastenders had put me to sleep... I vaguely remember some sounds at the beginning but I only woke up when I heard the Doctor asking if I wanted to go with him!

From what I can fuzzily recall, there was a spaceship flying over a city, a missile flying towards the white cliffs of Dover (reminds me of a shot in the Hitch Hiker's trailer), the Doctor running away from an inferno rushing down a corridor, something smashing into Big Ben (a model shot I read about yesterday), and some spinning shots of the console room.

Oh yeah... there was kind of weird machine that looked like an pepperpot with some sink plungers attached... dunno what that was! Wink

I know it's unlikely, but did anyone capture it? The BBC website seems to be a few days behind getting the trailers online.

Try going to this site http://www.newwhoforum.com/

They've got the trailers up in Quicktime and they look so much clearer because of it!!! Don't know why websites have such a fondness for Real Player and Windows Media Player because the results are fuzzier by comparison.

realplayer is a throw back to the days of dailup. Decent sized real clips are just as good as quicktime.

True, but when they have it on these websites it always looks fuzzy. The trailers on the BBC website are nowhere near as clear as they are on the website I suggested.

all depends on the quality settings. quicktime can be just as dire as some real clips.

You also have to weight it against the fact that the QuickTime application on windows is abysmal

I am a Mac and PC User and I stick to Realplayer. The only reason the beebs real clips are lousy is because they are badly compressed. Real is just as good if not better than quicktime. Plus the Mac and PC versions of the application are good whereas the PC version of quicktime is awful.

There was just another, shorter trailer on BBC1. I captured it and will upload it shortly - as a Divx AVI :p

Well can somebody have a word with them to sort it out!!! Until then watch them with crystal clear clarity on that 'new who forum' that I mentioned.

Ooer.

Very nice trail that. Although the titles audio is as *squelchy* as it sounds on the samples on the net but still very nice.
