Nice to see the BBC finally coming to their senses and putting the preview for the next ep at the end of the titles with a warning to look away now.... why have a programme which relies on cliffhangers and then spoil the cliffhanger?
BTW for all the RTD bashers - plain fact is that without RTD we wouldn't even be talking about a Dr Who series right now in 2005. I have been unimpressed with a few bits and bobs - reliance on Earth, too much Rose's family, soppy Dalek, the Doctor IS Wallace - but on the whole it's been enjoyable, good plotlines and storytelling, and worth the wait.

So true. Was very pleased to see that myself.

Personally I think the cliffhanger is a long outdated plot device. You know the Doctor will escape, the only question is how.
Well DUH!
Not quite old enough to remember the days of Flash Gordon, then? It's a traditional aspect of continuing adventure programmes.

Even though we know he's going to escape, we like to be left on tenterhooks wondering how he'll escape and how serious the threat really is.
And as for being old-fashioned? A lot of episodes of soap opera end on cliffhangers. It's a well-known and well-used device to get the viewer to return.

But since you know he will escape then what's so wrong about revealing this fact in the trailer?

Intruging name for an episode - "The Doctor Dances". Loving the 1940s artwork at bbc.co.uk/drwho
So that's three two parters in this series - Aliens of London/World War Three, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances and Bad Wolf / The Parting Of The Ways. Does anyone think there should there be more or less pan-episode stories in year two? Personally I'd be happy with maybe one two parter and a three-parter.
BTW any ratings for Empty Child?

For anyone who wants it, i've attempted to make a full version of the Who theme. It's hard with the different elements so some of the edits are noticeable, but i've tried my best.

Nicely done - There was a slight crackle I picked up at one edit point which I removed, and changed the volume of the 2nd half, but it's practically faultless really - So it definitely gets two thumbs up from me.
