Anyone got last nights ratings? If Celebrity Wrestling beat Dr Who I am going to go and scream.

Apparently- Doctor Who got 7.3 million, compared to just 3.8 million on ITV for Celebrity Wrestling.

Big media push (media screenings already taken place) for the next episode of Doctor Who ("Dalek"), with general critical astonishment that "Celebrity Wrestling" actually got commissioned.

I'm betting on a comprehensive "extermination" of ITV next week.

Good one! Laughing
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall at ITV last night.
The Beeb is now kicking ITV in the metaphorical bum, every Saturday. I am now genuinly excited about meeting the Darleks again.... Sofa at the ready.

THANK GOD!! I think next week Doctor Who will have one of it's biggest audiences since the series began, but if it went out later in the year, when all round viewership is up, ratings would be higher.

Britain's Nuclear missiles controlled by the UN? Royal navy missiles fired via the web? I'm very concerned Davies has overdone the silliness. Some of his jokes are great, but i'd really like to see a meaty sci fi story at the heart of each episode, otherwise the series risks slipping into self parody

[Sigh] Why do people get so worked up about factual accuracy? The majority of viewers neither know or care about how the UK's missiles are fired! It's just a story!

A little historical inaccuracies don't really matter. But firing missiles from a website accessable by a simple password, is completely ridiculous!

LOL quite. Well WarGames was made in 1983 when computers were in their infancy. It is probably possible that this could of happened. Even if it wasn't the public had no idea about computers so convincing them that you COULD fire a missile from a home computer was easy enough.

People are more clever when it comes to computers nowadays. A lot of people will have looked at that sequence and thought "What a load of rubbish that is!"
