That was good, better than last week, and nearly up to the levels of the first episode.

Next week looks awesome, and good to see us back in the realism of the modern day after going forward and back in time.

I have to say I have been vey impressed with the series so far. And Sat nights ep was very good. I think it could have benifited from being spread over 2-3 episodes.

However a story per episode aloows people to get back into Dr Who without having missed the story so far.

Unfortunately there was some sort of EPG messiness at 7pm last night which meant that most Sky+ boxes didn't record Dr Who and have dropped the series link. If it's happened to you then you'll need to re-insert the series link for next week. Last night's episode will be on BBC THREE tonight at 7pm if you need to catch up (like I do).

Another win for Dr Who last night -

Dr Who - 8.339m viewers (36.66% share)
Saturday Night Takeaway - 7.136m viewers (32.29% share)

A very very slight increase in share (holding steady, which is good news), and an extra 1m viewers from last week.

Wait until the people that recorded it are taken into account, I think the final figure will be nearer 9 million. Also once word of mouth about this episode gets out and Ant and Dec finishes, ratings will go up considerably.

Where do you get your ratings information from? You wouldn't happen to know how the Grand National and The Two Ronnies on Friday did would you?

I'm so happy the BBC is winning in the audience ratings with these shows. Deservedly so. They actually bother to pay to make a series, and bring back 2 favourites, then of course they should get good ratings.

Well done BBC. I thought decent television was almost all but gone, but I think it's bounced back. At least for a while anyway Very Happy

Last night's Doctor Who was the best so far I thought, but next week looks spectacular. Glad I checked my Sky+ when I did though, or else I would be waiting to watch it tonight!

We saw a clip of the Big Ben clock being smashed. There was a program about how they made this shot. Not computers at all, actually model shots. Something which lacks in todays science fiction. Mike Tucker who worked on the original Doctor Who was actually involved. It'll be interesting to see.
