I'd say the loss of 3 million viewers is a big disappointment for them. Interesting to see where it goes from here.

I think Rose turned off a lot of people, which is a shame because the best is yet to come. Russell's good at emotional stuff but he can't do scary. He just loves the jokes like Douglas Adams, and I didn't rate Adams much apart from City Of Death.

Not really. I don't think their was ever any chance of them holding 9 million viewers throughout the series. They will be happy with 6 million I would say, although once Ant and Dec finish their current run next week, and some dreary pap celebrity show replaces them, Dr Who could do even better. Episode 6 will do quite well I should think Wink

Will they repeat Episode 1 again do you think anytime? I know it was on BBC3 last Sunday. But I thought this week...."Hmm...wouldn't it be good if I record all these episodes on tape onto 2 or 3 videos for archive purposes???" So I've missed episode 1....but if it was repeated, I would like to get it onto my video collection. I know a DVD collection is being planned but why spend money when you can record them for free?? Laughing

Record them on tape, Rolling Eyes how outdated im recording them onto dvd each week

And isn't it funny how Noel's House Party got higher audience figures when it was ending, than Ant and Dec are with a show that's succeeding.

Did Noel have all those satellite stations Ant & Dec have as competition? That could be the reason why figures and statistics can work for you or against you depending on how you present the figures.

I'd really love to know the ratings for the ITV2 repeat show on a Sunday. I watched it then along with many others (I presume!). I watched Dr. Who on Saturday and Ant and Dec on Sunday - there is even the possibility of watching ant and Dec on a Sat and Dr Who on a Sunday.

That's true. It'll be interesting to see who wins out overall with the ratings including the repeats of both shows on ITV2 and BBC3.

The thing is you can't add in ratings from other channels, if Ant and Dec was repeated on ITV in the same week then you can add them together, likewise with Doctor Who.

Just on CBBC one, Chris Eccleston as the Doctor appeared, killing a Dalek compost bin with the Blue Peter badge - and I thought living plastic was weird....

It was in the Blue Peter garden. A couple of kids had constructed a dalek out of an old bin and other bits and pieces.

Eccleston arrives on the scene and destroys the compost bin / dalek by using the power of the Blue Peter badge.

The weather this weekend was a lot better though - viewing was down across all channels compared to last Saturday night. Dr Who was still the highest rating show on Saturday night on any channel wasn't it?

Even better ratings than Casualty I think it was.
