But if Dr Who remains a male domain, Craig Charles would make a good one...

You're not biased towards anyone or anything linked with Takeshi's Castle, are you?

Personally, if he did play the Doctor, I would still see him as Dave Lister, who somehow managed to escape from deep space, searching through time for a chicken vindaloo.

Yes he probably could have worked as DR Who if Lister wasn't so fresh in everyone's minds

How about Bill Bailey as the Doctor, he could be wierd enough to play the part

But...you should know as well as I do, that Richard O'Brien should be primarily associated with the Crystal Maze, Ed Tudor-Pole wasn't up to his standard!

Yeah...I know...but The Crystal Maze is what Edward Tudor-Pole is associated with, along with the band he is in. But more associated with The Crystal Maze than anything else.

So, I'm just saying that it would be good if Edward Tudor Pole from The Crystal Maze would become the new Doctor - with his glamorous assistant Bert - his horse!!! Laughing

I Agree, having missed last weeks episode i was a little confused, but soon caught up.

Eccleson is ok as the doc, but i'd still have prefered if they had kept Paul McGann. McGann seems more suited to be the Doc than Eccleson.

The Steward was apparently Simon Day. Is this the same one of The Fast Show fame, because I couldn't see him at all under that make-up. Surely it wasn't him?

Tonights episode was corny, but by that i mean 'entertainly' corny just the way I liked to be entertained

Great
