They could've modernized the intro by using Orbital's version of the theme music Razz

It's got a funky beat, you know Wink

Orbitals version is a dance track. It would be too soft for the theme tune. Plus like it or not, it has aged since it was released.

I remember people saying they should use orbitals version when the new series was announced, and I was wondering why. They say the Who theme should be scary. That is not in the least bit scary!

I like it, but as a dance re-mix, nothing else Razz

Im in a stance, where ive been kicked in the stomach over the movie version of 'Bewitched'

So its put in a state of mind where I'll find it hard to be disapointed by the new series of Dr.Who.... even if others critise it, i'll find that hard.. long story

I think I just missed a new trailer - all I caught was the end, which visually was the same as the others (Billie and Chris in the TARDIS) but the voiceover was saying "what d'you fink?" in a Cockney chav way - it didn't sound like Billie.

What'd I miss? Sad

David

Edited to add: it was on at 20:30 on BBC1, after Eastenders

The Doctor is on BBC1 now with Jonathan Ross.

It's only a short trailer - you didn't miss much. It's basically her saying how she could have stayed at home with her Mum and boyfriend, or go for adventures, monsters and excitement. That's about it really!

The full BBC Doctor Who website is going to be launched later on the day of transmission of the first episode. I read in Doctor Who Magazine that there will be lots of hidden stuff. In fact go to the front page scroll to the bottom and click on 'Lies.' It's quite interesting! Wink

oh I like that lies website. Wonderfully cheap and nasty.

Maybe they're planning to do something alongside like Spooks did the first time round.

Is the team for the Doctor Who site a new one does it come under Cult's remit?

I think it's still the original website team, apparently there was a meeting of various departments of the BBC discussing what they were going to do to promote the new series. The Doctor Who website team had their ideas, as well as BBC Worldwide with the DVD's and others. The whole 'Lies' concept should tie into something in the first show.

And don't forget tonight at 5.25pm on BBC1, there will be a Doctor Who programme to whet your appetite before the new series officially starts.

There was a shash-load of clips on the Jonathan Ross interview wasn't there! And I have to say I am VERY impressed. I think this is going to be excellent!

Shame I'll be on a stag do in Wolverhampton when it's on but I guess that's what they invented videos for.

I have to say that from what I saw of Eccleston's performance on the Jonathan Ross show, he looks total quality in the role of the Doctor.
