Oh I'm feeling fine.

I'm picking holes in salfordjohn's argument as I dislike him more than the man on the telly.

and that would be because....??

You are quite annoying to be fair.

I know what you're thinking, but at least I can admit it.

Why have you both turned this into a personal campaign against me? What's your evidence for how I'm quite annoying?

Oh, God.

How is one post triggered by a response to a quasi-sarcastic comment a personal campaign?

Anyway, putting this thread back on the rails, Saturday's story is Planet of the Ood . I think it's set before the events of Series 2's Ood story, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

They need to be careful to do it well though, well written storylines which make them seem scary and a good plot with a good resolution. Otherwise we'll have what we have with the Daleks a few pages back, people moaning about another Ood storyline.

True, I think they will be great if used like the Ice Warriors (they appeared four times over the 26 year run of the original series) although the Ood seem to have had the better stories so far Wink

Oh is it? Never knew that, well it will be interesting to see, I wonder if any of the cast from The Satan Pit will feature in this "buying" some Ood

Interesting words from the Ood at the end of Planet of the Ood . The Ood said "I think your song must end soon". Could this be hinting at an imminent regeneration?

Seeing as they're making special allowances for his year out, I think they can get at least one more full series from David Tennant.

And so the flawless series continues....that was a beautiful episode! Although, the Ood Circle looked like the BBC One idents Laughing

nice episode with a good ending, although how a species could evolves with its brain in its hand is a bit perplexing Confused

It was a fairly good episode. I can't help but laughing at Catherine Tate though. Tonight she said "I dunno" in the exact style she used to say it in one of her sketches on her show. Last week, she said something like her Derek character. Laughing

Haven't managed to watch this one properly yet, will get round to rewatching it again today.

I have to say that Catherine Tate is certainly proving the nay-sayers wrong, she's been excellent so far in this series.

However it still hasn't stopped critics slating her, mainly due to her size more than anything else Mad

As for the regeneration who knows with RTD? If anything I think either the last special or the Christmas 2009 one will be his last or if not Series 5 definately will be. I know that DT loves playing the role but he really doesn't want to fall into the TB trap of not being able to get work after quitting the series, due to being in the part for too long. Afterall by the end of the 5th series he would have been playing the Doctor for six years

I though the break next years was to give him more time to do other stuff,

It is yeah, they are doing three specials (don't know if that includes the Christmas one or not) as he is on stage during the later part of this year.

No one really knows how much longer David Tennant will play the role TBH, a change of producer may result in a change of Doctor (Tom Baker for example threatened to quit since the end of Series 14/15 but the then production team wanted to keep, however when JNT took over and he wanted to quit they said yes) or he may become so in demand that he may decided to leave (Jon Pertwee quit as he kept being offered roles but had to turn them down because of Who).

I know RTD said that they will continue with this pattern in future (1 full year, 1 year of specials, etc) but I suppose that depends on whether or not Tennant continues in the role or not.
