Agreed, as I said, it's lost it's class - I dislike credit squeezing, as we've all said before, it gives you time to reflect on what you've just seen.

Great little adventure, the robot heads reminded me a bit of the ones from "Robots Of Death", especially when they started chanting "Kill, kill, kill...."
The new theme is great as well, a more moody bass works especially seeing as this Doctor keeps losing his companions every series
I presume the graphics will change at the start of series 4.
As for the sped up titles, well you only have the new BBC "policy"
to thank for that

It's probably against some guideline, but I wonder whether it would have been better for the credits to be on 'stills' instead of scrolling. That way you could have x names per still and be visible for a couple seconds, giving a chance to read the names instead of scrolling at an almost unreadable speed.
The new end credits for Doctor Who highlight how bad the new end credit 'guidelines' are when it comes to shows which involve a lot of people. At least if they weren't squeezing the credits for marketing purposes they could uses a smaller font, meaning the scrolling could be at a slower speed.

I agree with you there, look at the end credits for the Royle Family for example, a still caption with many names on it & the credits weren't "too" long either.
Also the bloody CA talked all over the new end theme

Regarding the theme on the BBC Website:
The theme tune has been revamped for Voyage Of The Damned. "I think I just decided to spruce it up - new drums, new rhythm section, new bass line, new little bit of piano," says Murray Gold. "I hope people liked it!" Did you spot the little nod to the 1980's Peter Howell version in there?
You sort of can at about 30 seconds in (listen to the Howell theme then listen to that little part)

I think this new version of the DW theme, although I wasn't too keen on it at first, isn't as bad as some people make out.
My only criticism is that it seems to end too abruptly compared with the previous version. The whooshing sound at
the end has been omitted. If they reinstate that, or a variation of it, the new theme would sound that bit better.
In my opinion though, the next version of the Doctor Who, should they decide to rework it again, should be based upon
the 1981 Peter Howell version ... IMO the best version of the theme from the Classic era of DW. I think that parts of
that particular version could quite easily be recreated with an electric guitar, alongside modern synthesisers.

Nice to hear that someone else thinks the Howell version was the best of the classic series
