My mistake, yes, it was a waistcoat, and his trouses were tartan.

Sylvester has always said that in the film he suddenly felt really comfortable in the role and would have liked to have gone on.

A regeneration is possible but I think that the hiatus is going to take place so that they can change the time of year as to when the good Timelord is aired from Spring to the Auutmn.

Good to see you bothered to read the press release...

The BBC Press Office posted:
After months of media speculation, BBC One can confirm that the Bafta-award winning Doctor Who will return for a fifth series in spring 2010.

I did read the press release, just like I read the press release for Spooks which should have been shown in May, but is now being shown in the autumn.

A press release may say one thing but the actual event is another. As I said it really wouldn't surprise me if they took this opportunity to move the airing to Autumn instead of Spring. David Tenants stage work has to come first in this case - just like it would for any actor - who knows the stage could last longer than planned!!!

How many other press releases have stated as to when a show is going to be aired and then move it without giving any more press releases?

Just like to add that Spooks has never aired in May. All 6 series have been aired around autumn time.

You're wrong about that. Spooks Series 1 aired in May / June 2002. Series 2 aired June / July.

From series 3 it became an autumn thing.

Sylvester's movie costume is what he should have had in the series in the first place, but then again JNT wasn't great with fashion (according to Janet Fielding on one of the commentaries anyway)

Well I did wonder whether or not they only did it in the CIn special just to "test the water" so to speak. It obviously would work so RTD please do it, give us a full two parter 5th/10th Doctor story & bring back Peri with the fifth Doctor to boot Very Happy
