...and now something that I know will p*ss off at least Ronnie Rowlands Wink Laughing

Apparently Peter Davison is returning, not only according to the "reliable" Sun but according to Sylvester McCoy as well. However if true it's not clear in what form, one rumour is (and most likely) in this years CIN, the other is in the main series, somehow.

I know some don't like this idea but at least, out of all of the old Doctors Davison does look most like he did back when he played the Doctor. The only companion he could get away with also is Peri as Nicola Bryant as she doesn't look much different from what she did when she played the role, plus she was his final companion

Await's Ronnies response Laughing

I'd argue that Sylvester McCoy looks more like his doctor now than Peter Davison does! Mainly because Peter has lost most of his hair, and his voice is significantly different.

It dosen't matter anyway. They can be disguised.

It's getting them all that's the problem.

TBH I can't hear any difference in his voice whatsoever.

It is slightly different
When he was the Doctor he was alot posher, compared to his accent now. I thought on the interview that he did, that's an extra on the Castrovalva DVD(?), for Pebble Mill, that he sounded quite posh, now however he doesn't.

BTW he's only 56 Mr Stabby, that would have meant he would have been smoking since he was six! Laughing

Sylvester McCoy does look alot like he did actually, but I think Peter Davison was a more popular Doctor so it makes sense really.

Tom Baker has been quoted in some interviews as to saying that he would like to play the Master, which would create a rather interesting time paradox, as he would sort of put it. Wink

Another day, another rumour for this show however this one is from Outpost Gallifrey so there could be some truth to this:

The next actor to play DOCTOR WHO on the hit British sci-fi show has been found - TV star HARRY LLOYD.
The show's boss Russell T Davies was impressed with Lloyd when the actor appeared on a recent episode as a student at a posh school.

And when current Doctor Who David Tennant leaves the series, which is rumoured to be in two year's time (09), Davis [sic] is convinced he has found a ready made replacement.

He says, "After his audition I sent a note to the casting director saying, 'He's not just good for Baines (his character), that's the next Doctor.

Seriously. He's so brilliant." Lloyd currently plays Will Scarlett in the British TV series Robin Hood

What do we think of this, wouldn't be the first time they've done this would it Wink

Also, and I'll spoiler tag this just incase:

In an interview with Doctor Who Magazine, Russell T Davies has confirmed that David Tennant will be playing the Doctor for the entire run of series four of Doctor Who.

When asked if the constant tabloid rumours that Tennant would be quitting the show halfway through the next series were true, Davies answered, "No, he's doing the whole series. It was never even discussed that he might leave after six episodes. That's completely invented by the papers."

The story has also been reported on david-tennant.com.

Which is great news IMHO

Interesting. No full-length series in 2009?

Could this indicate a possible regeneration around that time?

Tsk tsk. 1920s, not 1920's. It is a collective noun, not referring to something belonging to the year 1920.
