so that means there will be a new set of daleks then!!!!!!

yippee!!!

I am like others stated getting fed up on the over-use of the daleks. They do need to be dropped for this series and why weren't the "new cybermen" used.

Also on that note why was the history of the cybermen re-written as in the old series they were from earths twin planet, Mondas - same orbit as the earth but continually hiddenfrom each other by the sun, and NOT from an alternative universe

but in the alternative universe, the Cybermen were created in a different way to the way they were created in the main universe. Therefore it'd be perfectly possible for a Cyberman from Alt-Earth to shake hands with one from Mondas, as they're essentially two parallel and separate races.

I bloody well hope so. He's been by far and away my favourite writer of the series so far (as I was reminded last night as "The Empty Child" was on BBC3).

Can't say I'm either surprised or sorry. I like him but I don't think he'd be right. He's also quite a lot more well-known than the last 2 appointments, making the rumour even less likely.

That would be a surprise; it seems unlikely. How do you reckon it would work?

Daleks can be separated from davros, as seen in the last 3 series and in Dalek stories up to Genesis. BUT Davros cannot be by himself he is the Dalek creator and he will do anything to make sure they are the supreme universal being, and as such Davros = Daleks and nothing else.

Unless he makes his own cybermen as he declare the Dalek body useless?
