That was absolutely fantstic! so many parts from the series, and the other two series, tied up. the face of Boe, which was very clever. and then the seem-to-be-continuing theme of WHAT at the end of the series. that Titanic entrance was great!

I think your probably right, since Martha looked like she wanted a breather to finish her studies.

Was never expecting Jack to be the Face of Boe!
And as evil as the Master is, the Doc still has that love-hate relationship with him, and doesn't ever want him to die for their being cut from the same cloth - despite the risk.
That's what sets it apart from the Doc's clashes with Daleks or Cybermen. I don't ever see Doctor and Master managing to co-exist 'in the end', though.

A superb ending to an excellent series, non dud ones there at all. I think the end with Martha was written as such just in case the audience didn't warm to her but I think she will return at the end of the Christmas Special/first episode of Series 4. I think RTD would be mad to get rid of her character.
I do like the idea though of a second, perminate companion like they did in Tom Baker's early reign and in Peter Davison's reign (although three companions was one too many). It kind of adds an extra dilemma for the Doctor. They have toyed with the idea many a time since the series re-started (Adam, Mickey, Jack) so perhaps they should introduce one perminately?
EDIT: Also liked the twist that Jack was the Face Of Boe

It would be cool if he went back and got Adam or Donna.
Adam could have been slowly accepted by the public after explaining that he's not mad[and he told Torchwood that the Doctor did it] and when the 10th doctor arrives,he tells Adam that he'd just come out of the time war so he was a bit annoyed.
Donna's an easy one,she could just decide to go with the Doctor.
Of course they could just introduce a new one.

Thats technically wrong, the R.M.S. Titanic had only 3 rails at the front of the bow due to the raised platform just behind it... It also had a bit more ship after the railings it wasn't rounded off...

I liked it wasn't what I was expected and I love because it’s Sci-Fi you can get with away with anything. 'Hang on that’s a paradox' erm oh yeah the Master created a Paradox machine to allow it...
So stupid it’s brilliant. So we have yet another new companion next series then???
I think that idea was thought up later myself, the face of Boa I mean was just background character thought up in series 1 the 'he's jack' thing was thought up during writing series 2 (IMO)

It shows that, by god does some forward planning go into this show! The last thing I was expecting was that a face we first met two series ago was going to turn out to be linked in with THIS!
