I really don't know what you're getting at here...

And actually,The first episode of the revived series is actually set not long after he regenerated. If you remember, he commented on his appearance when looking in the mirror, as though he'd seen himself for the first time.

Correct he makes a point about his big ears Very Happy I think it was best they way they did it, it would be too complicated to go back too far, one interesting continunity change was with the Cybermen, in "Dalek" we see the old style head, however by the new Series 2 the Cybermen had completely changed. However IIRC the Doctor does mention this?

Sort of - The Cybermen in the new series are of a different universe to the regular who universe and as such aren't exact copies. The doctor (IIRC) mentions how they look slightly different to how he remembers them in the Rise of the Cybermen/The Age Of Steel 2 parter because it's a different universe

Yeah, they weren't real cybermen so to speak. They were made of steel for a start, and moved via some hydraulic thing. To m' knowledge, Cybermen stories out at the moment are Patrick Troughton's Tomb of the Cybermen, which is regarded as a classic, and Peter Davison's Earthshock. Go http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/clips/ to see all sorts of classic clips. Should keep you occupied. And here's the first cybermen PRazz http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/check/doctorwho/classic/clips/ram/tenth_planet02?size=4x3&bgc=CC0000&nbram=1&bbram=1

And speaking of cybermen, here's my effort at recreating the firstever voices, sorryr about the low quality- http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/cyberman1.mp3

Hi folks, another piece of news from your 'Super Soaraway Sun'...

Doctor Who to die a death next year after his 30th series in 45 YEARS!!!

I hope it's not true, but I suppose it had to happen sometime...

Or has it? It is The Sun after all!

Of course not. Why would they end one of their biggest profile shows?

The Sun spouting sh*te again, afterall no one else has metioned about Freema Agyman (sp) being axed have they?

Sorry to put this back on the next Doctor after Tennant discussion but someone the other day mentioned to be that he had read somewhere (probably The Sun again) that they are looking for an older person to replace Tennant.

If that is the case (and please bare in mind this is just a case of who you would like to see next) and they do get rid of Tennant soon (although I hope they keep him for another two series) who do you think would be a good replacement?

One person I personally think would be great, although he probably wouldn't want the role, would be Michael Gambon. Anyone agree with that or do they have a better suggestion?

You could be right actually, under the old style series possibly but he might not suit the current series. He would be good in it though as one of the people the Doctor meets, he'd be better as a goodie rather than a baddie though

Jon Pertwee was the best Doctor in my opinion,

I fell in love with his Red Coat and his Red Velvet Jacket. I also loved his companion Jo Grant - Katy Manning.

The Daleks were good, and the ever brilliant story line The Deamons.
