McCoy's first season was awful, things started to pick up in his second, and his third and final was also good, as the Doctor became darker and more mysterious. It was part of a plan to make Doc Who popular again, but sadly, the show was axed before we could ever find out if this was true. Rememberence is a good episode and I would reccomend it as one of his better ones. Also out on DVD is "Survival," the last of the classic series and I would reccomend that to you.

I would not reccomend any from Colin Baker's 1st series, apart from Revelation of the Daleks, which was a true classic, and the only memorable one CB ever did.

Thanks for the info, I did pick up Survival as well but because of McCoy put it down again, but as you say, if his series got better as time went on then I'll give these two DVD's a glance next time I look at the classic Doctor Who section on Amazon or Play.com

Anyway back to the present, Doctor Who on it ten minutes, looks like another great episode Very Happy

I couldn't have said it any better, McCoy's second and third series contained some of the shows best stories. The bit when he walks out of the tent as it explodes in The Greatest Show In The Galaxy is an all time great Who moment. Colin Baker is a nice guy but his Doctor was unlikeable, especially coming after the classic that was The Caves Of Androzani.

Colin could have been so much better. The series was very poorly written, which is a shame as Colin is a good actor, instead they gave him a tasteless character with a tasteless costume. He seemed to have mellowed a bit in his second series, known as "Trail of a Timelord" but he was poorly treated by the BBC.

Colin was so unlucky it isn't funny. I just wish that he had been more forceful in his opinions with the production staff; but he was putting his faith in others and they let him down badly.

Tonight's episode was very enjoyable and Tennant's best performance so far which is ironic as he wasn't playing The Doctor.

A very nice nod to the past.

I thought the image in the middle looked familiar, didn't look close enough at the others.

An excellent episode, lets hope the second part is just as stong (porbably will be), I was waiting for the kid to run out with the watch, but he didn't. Just a great story, Freema Agyeman has fitted into this series with ease, and to think she was in the MkII Crossroads Laughing
