City of Death is rather good comic episode shot in Paris, where Tom Baker is truly on form. Its written by the then script writer/Hitchhikers Guide author Douglas Adams under a pseudonym. Watch out for John Cleese's cameo.

Thanks for that, all 12 Amazon reviewers have given it 5 out of 5 so I think I'll give this one a go first

Agreed City of Death is one of the few classic stories i can stand to watch in full in one sitting.
The best line in the whole of Doctor Who ever - "I love your butler, he's so violent....hello i'm the doctor!"
And as for Dalek colours, the white Daleks are the imperial Daleks, who were created to serve only Davros. The Grey Daleks are considered the "Renegade" Daleks, who were created by Davros but chose to obey the will of the Black Dalek and the Dalek emperor. In the classic series anyway, I don't know what the current gold design is all about.

I just Watched EP3 on line: Gridlock: strange that he not alone: I wonder who the other time-lord could be......
Most of the Bakers that are out on DVD are classics - the selection so far has been quite good.
Ones espacially to note; Robots Of Death (as has already been said), Pyramids Of Mars, The Ark In Space, The Talons Of Weng-Chiang. As for Pertwees, Spearhead From Space and Inferno are both excellent.
Totally different from modern-day Dr Who, but great telly in their own right.
Soft spot for the TV movie, even if it is a bit Americanised, Paul McGann's doctor was intriguing and sensitive.
Day of the Daleks and Five Doctors are good romps, but my 12 out of 10 goes to : TOMB OF THE CYBERMEN. Watch it, then watch it again with Frazer Hines and Deborah Watling's commentary. Simply wonderful.
