John Simm would never be the next Doctor. He took months to film Life on Mars, away from his family, which he said he wouldn't do again, and he has also said he doesn't like being the same character for too long. Also, his wife's recently had a baby, so Saxon was just his last biut of TV work before going back to theatrical acting and settling down with his family.

True but it did say they are "trying to lure him into the role" so you never know, nobody ever though Eccleston would only do one series until they announced it

Alright calm down Doris I do realise it probably is a pile of b*ll*cks, but who else do we think will replace Tennant, Robert Carlisle's name was bouncing about a few months back. My old man thinks Paul Glenister should, don't know if that would work TBH
David Tennant loves his role and he always wanted to play it, why would he leave so early, you shouldn't believe everything you read in the tabloids or listen to rumours.
Will there be any Old enemies coming back? Like the Daleks? The Cybermen, the Macra, the Autons? I'd rather see some more new monsters. The Daleks are being horribly overused at the moment. I'm hoping we don't see any Daleks for the next couple of seasons.
