The bit with the Dr trying to reach outside to switch on the magnet was daft, why build a space ship with a manual override switch on the outside just out of reach of the door?

So then if a rescue mission had to be carried out, the rescuing party could simply use a robot arm to press the button and open the airlock.

Yes, all of this will lead to a Series finale with the Master. Although it seems that they aren't so subtle with the references to this as they were in 2005 with the "Bad Wolf" craze.

And yes, this series has been awesome. The last 2 series have always had a pretty ropey few first episodes to kick of the series, but this series hit a peak with its first episode and keeps ketting better and better. The Scarecrows look brilliant next week. And soon, Captain Jack will be returning. Not something I'm so exited about, Torchwood wasn't that great, but oh well.

42 was a great episode
but it reminded me too much of the impossible planet/the satan pit

I thought that when I read the synopsis. Proved quite different though. i loved all the speedy tension and the stress and sweatiness that went on withing the episode, and really emphasised the fact it was in real time.

The only reason Bad Wolf was more subtle was because we didn't know about it, and the whole series was new. When we thought "Ooh, could there be another arc in series 2?", everyone immediately started purposely looking and ruining any surprise the arc once had. Still, the Saxon thing looks like building up to something big.

That annoys me about the new series. RTD thinks things up things like "oh I'll make this an anagram of that and slip that in there and no one'll notice that and thiss all links to that," trying to be sneaky, but then the die hard fans go completely over the top coming up with all sorts of theories and making countless websites full of files and dossiers containing evidence linking to all of these theories. They completely ruin all the fun for us viewers.

"They" being the die-hard fans-- or RTD's little puzzles? Confused

somehow 'burn with me' Mad didn't quite have the same drammatic effect as 'are you my mummy' Shocked or 'he is awake' Twisted Evil

Man this is SOOOOOO!! Obvious,
Mr Saxon is the doctor's old nemesis The Master* who he will meet and all his plans will unfold in the final two episodes.

and he's got Martha's family co-operating so he can find The Doctor etc etc etc Still good show, very exicting.

Incase there is some truth to this....

According to this weeks Zoo Magazine (yes I know it's a Lads mag but they have got these things right on the odd occasion before) BBC Execs are trying to lure John Simm into being the next Doctor. Apparently the Master runs out of regenrations and tries to steal the Doctors.

There is some DNA transfer between the two, which leaves it open for Tennant to fade away and be replaced by Simm. Meaning he'll look like the Master but will be the Doctor.

I was a bit confused by that a first but it could work what do others think. BTW as I said above I know it's a lads mag so it could all be hearsay but you never know

What worries me is that you are able to spot semi-regular patterns in Zoo Magazine . How could you know that, I wonder?
