Gallifrey Base are half users who are still stuck in the good old days and wont appreciate anything RTD does, ever! Laughing

Well Chatty Man just showed a new clip from Part Two... so I'm sure in 30mins it'll be on 4oD for those who wish to see a convo between Doc and The Master

Laughing Funny thing about GB at the moment is that it's amazing what a divide EOT Part 1 has had over there. There's several who venomously hate it & anyone who likes it is sucking up to RTD Rolling Eyes Laughing

To be fair I never got into Who until 2005, when Eccleston first appeared on screen as the Ninth Doctor, however since seeing the Classic Series, I'll be honest I slightly prefer the classic run these days to the current run. I still enjoy the modern series however. Most of GB is perfectly fine & it's actually a rather good forum, however as you say there are one or two on there that really are adamant that their opinion is right & everyone elses is wrong.

Thanks for the info BTW regarding Chatty Man & that new clip Smile

My first Who experience was with Paul McGann, who regardless of the plot I adore as a Doctor. The fact he wasn't even given a proper regeneration is sad I think... but at the same time it'll be something that makes him more memorable as he'll always have unfinished business.

Once the DVD's came out and I went back through the classic era, my two thoughts are that Tom Baker is rather overrated... he's good, but not as good as most make out... and that Peter Davidson is my Doctor, not David Tennant.

Saying that, Tennant has helped make the show the global success it now is. Something Eccleston couldn't be bothered to do, stick around and make sure the show survived... hense why he's not given the global appreciation that Tennant did along with Piper.

Mod Edit: Do not ignore the post made today about spoilers. I didn't know and thanks to you I do, consider yourself on a warning.

Out of all the Doctor's whose opinion of them I've completely changed it'd have to be the Sixth Doctor. Everywhere I went on the internet I saw comments like "worst Doctor ever" & I was more or less warned about watching a Sixth Doctor story, however since seeing them all I have to say that the Sixth Doctor is one of my favourites, just a shame Grade gave him the bullet Mad

I was going to suggest a sensible compromise in the spoiler thread before we were informed the matter was closed, but surely any problems with spoilers now are down to all discussion being in one thread. If one was set up for the next series, and one for the current specials (each one if necessary), surely that would solve a lot of problems as those who wish to discuss the current episodes airing can do so without having to try and avoid posts giving information on the next series.

And then if they choose to view posts in the thread for the next series, they're doing so in the full knowledge it's likely to be littered with spoilers - and those who want to discuss such spoilers can do so quite freely within the thread itself (and at pain of death if discussed elsewhere!).

Unfortunately, as good an idea as that is, that's what this thread used to be - specifically marked "no spoilers" - until someone did. The other thread fell away during that time.

Nothing to stop anyone making a new one though!

I was very impressed with the way Timothy Dalton's character was revealed at the end, after viewers had only seen his face in earlier parts of the episode. One of the scenes I am looking forward to seeing the most is to find out what will happen with Gallifrey in Friday's episode.

I had forgotten that Billie Piper's other cameo appearance also wasn't listed in the Radio Times. I have also heard that Sarah Jane and K9 appear in the last episode (hope I haven't revealed too much!).

You managed to forget the entire Spoiler discussion that was had earlier today as well? Quite the memory problem you seen to have.

IIRC one was for the current run, which this one dates back to 2007 when Martha joined the 10th Doctor (bloody hell that's flown by Shocked ) the other was for the classic series discussion (1st-8th Doctors) which I think lasted 18 pages & then disappeared.

I'm all for splitting this into two threads but it depends on others on here.
