Slightly off topic, but how come Watch has an edited version of the Season 3 finale, while BBC THREE doesn't?

The scene I'm refering to is the one featuring 'I Can't Decide'. BBC THREE has it uncut, while Watch has it mostly edited out.(Part of it is under a conversation between the Master & the Doctor)

The 'sad trekkie' sister pointed this out a few weeks ago with the Watch transmission & I happened to notice the same episode was on BBC THREE tonight & I checked.

It may be episode length related, as I think the final two episodes were 50 minutes long rather than the normal 45 minutes.

Well if that's the case Watch will be buggered come The End of Time, Part Two Laughing

The Waters Of Mars was a very good adventure IMO, much better than Planet Of The Dead which I've still struggled to get through in one sitting.

Duncan was a great one of companion and the overall pace of the story was good as well, liked the last 5-10 minutes with 10th defying the laws of time set out by his own people & the possible consequences this could now cause due to his meddling.

Also, if anyone has ever seen The Time Meddler (1st Doctor adventure) you'll realise how much of a hypocrite he has become in this story as the 1st Doctor has a right go at the Monk in that story for interfearing with history.

Although it will be a shame that 10th's time has come to an end I'm really looking forward to the 11th Doctor series next year, especially after reading some of the set reports from some of the "spoiler hounds" over on Gallifrey Base Smile

As for the 9th Doctor, I'm watching his stories back in order for the first time since transmission, The Unquiet Dead is 9th's best story so far, however the next story is the Aliens In London 2 parter, which I understand was Eccleston's worst story, but so far I don't think he's been childish at all. Plus The Empty Child 2 parter is still the best story since the series came back IMO.

Not specifically him is childish, but the series in general... just feels like what The Sarah Jane Adventures does nowadays. Like it belonged on CBBC, not BBC One. Yes odd episodes break that rule, but I would say those rule breakers are in the minority.

Series 2, ironically when David took over, was when the show visably and narratively grew up, and became a BBC One family drama... not a mis-scheduled childrens entertainment product.

Ah ok, fair enough. Well so far I don't find the series childish, however I've been lead to believe that the Aliens In London two parter is the most childish story (at times) in series 1.

Anyone see the last Merlin tonight then? Looks like the Beeb are finally making it their 2nd pillar alongside Doctor Who.

Not only were there slow motion walks towards the camera, but Merlin is now known as the Last of the Dragonlords... coincidence much? Laughing

Laughing Plus dramatic orchestral music and melodrama.

I'm informed by a fan of both series that lurking in Arthur's bedroom a Sontaran battle helmet has been seen.

Have you been watching 'Points Of View' recently & the comments about the cans of lager being spotted?

Does anyone else feel, like me, that after seeing more and more clips and trailers of the upcoming End of Time that it's going to be one heck of a let down?

June Whitfield pinching Tennant's bum, the camp one from Hi-De-Hi, the Master in a large leather dog's collar, the green spiky-headed aliens that look like the red one - Bannakaffalatta - from a couple of year's ago.

My hopes aren't up.

I have the same feeling. It's like the Royle Family last year (the kids staying round from Friday to Monday) - showing the only good bit/bits in the trailer which results in viewers being disappointed. I also feel as if I've seen the whole episode bar the titles and credits what with all the promos.

If you read the report on SFX's website, they've reassured people that although a lot has been seen via ads, you've hardly scratched the surface.
