Insofar as its revealing something new that I was unaware of.
Now listen buster*, lets not have an organ recital about it all over again. This will be the fifth series and the fifth year of the same discussion about spoilers.
If it has not yet appeared on screen, then some people consider it to be a spoiler. Is that straightforward enough? I'm not necessarily expecting you to agree with that measure - but its much easier for members to use a spoiler tag than me wipe my memory of things I would prefer not to know.
I know the papers publish stuff, but I try really heard each year to avoid all that.
I really look forward to coming on here to discuss what I've just watched - and seeing snapshots of returning characters, new logos or the TARDIS interior paintjob ahead of broadcast is a bit like your sister opening your presents on Christmas eve and telling you what you're going to get.
* I know that sounds rude, but your name lends itself to it.

In what sense is the new logo a "spoiler"?

Some might, but they would be wrong.
No doubt you'd agree that it would be a bit unfair for those who hate spoilers not to be able to chat about episodes after they've been aired, just because others couldn't be gassed using a 2-second bit of formatting.
You would agree with that, right?

Suit yourself...some might say that this thread might be one to avoid entirely in that case!

Oh come on Gav. Posting previews of TV presentation before it airs has been a staple of TV Forum for years. Everything from new ITV1 idents and EastEnders titles to the Sky News Centre and the BBC News titles have appeared here before transmission, without spoiler tags, and without complaint. Surely it's one of the big selling points of the forum. Are we really to go down the road of hiding anything of interest away behind spoiler tags?
Revealing details of a forthcoming storyline is one thing, but discussing logos and presentation is what TV Forum is all about. Can't we just carry on as we have done for years?

Well thanks for that Spencer.
Yes, you carry on with pictures of River Song from the new series, the repainted TARDIS, the list of guests stars that will appear in the final episode, and all of the other titbits that have been published here with people saying, "whats the big deal?".
I'll just not read along then.
Much appreciated.

Thank you too for ignoring my point.
I'm more than happy for those things you mention to go in spoiler tags. But on a TV Presentation forum, it just seems a bit much to ask for forthcoming TV presentation elements to be spoilered. Where does it end?

No Spencer, you tell *me* where it ends. New titles, new actors, new sets - some people here can't tell the difference in their rush to post. Others like to reproduce the things the newspapers print and then argue its all in the public domain, and to get over it.
This isn't Look East's new sofa, its Doctor Who, The logo and look of the series is as important to me as anything else about it.
I thought it was agreed last year (if not the year before) that new things - whatever they are - would be kept in spoilers. For goodness sake, its not really any trouble for people to do that, so why on earth would you argue against the use of spoilers, or say "some things don't warrant it"? Says who?
That's like you putting two fingers up to me and anyone else it bothers.
So again - thanks for saying, "hey it doesn't bother me seeing a new logo, so I don't know what your problem is".
I would dearly love for a moderator to rule on it one way or another, because then I would at least know what is likely to appear here - and in the absence of that, and your intervention, I'll just not read.
Great.
And Spencer, I realise that my reaction here is probably totally disproportionate in everyone's eyes, but I'm feeing run down and crap, and this isn't making me feel any better.
